Subject: RE: Around the Bay 30km/5kmVolunteering is a thankless job that I think every athlete in our sport should do at least once ot twice in their lifetime. It certainly makes you appreciate them a lot more when you've been in their shoes. That said..I don't know how the Bay handles race day volunteers..I know that have an army (well..Sea Cadet I think ) out there come race day but I think they are signed up well in advance. They might have you working handing out food or something closer to the finish but I'd bet they'd be happy to have more help.
BTW kudos to your coach for reigning you in and keeping you on target..and double as much to you for following orders. Not what I expect from most triathletes (they never listen to their coaches..lol ).
