Subject: Finally a sub 10 minute mileMy triathlon is this coming Sunday, so I didn't want to do a lot of distance on my run. I set a goal for myself to run my 1.2 mile loop in 12 minutes, or a 10 minute mile pace. I was so excited when I finished and saw that not only had I met my goal, but I'd surpassed it!!!  Of course, I felt like I was going to get sick for quite awhile after I finished because to me it felt like an all out sprint for the whole distance. I want to eventually work towards an 8 minute mile so that I can run 1 1/2 miles in 12:00. I was very happy with my performance today. Now I'm just hoping that I'll be able to repeat it.  |
