Subject: RE: Lyme's Disease got me!Thanks all for the support!
Some days are really painful, others are good. Today was a good day. I went for my first bike ride since my last race in May. I went for 22 mi and felt pretty good through about mile 14. My shoe size has increased about a size and a half, probably due to swelling from the arthritis. I had to finish the last 5 miles of the ride with my left foot out and on top of the shoe due to the pain in some of the tarsal - metatarsal joints.
I'm going to try an easy 4 mi run tomorrow to see what I can tolerate.
Bryan, Check and recheck. I never had the "bulls eye" and if I had any other initial symptoms such as fever, I discounted them as something else. These ticks are tiny and very easy to miss. I have made sure that my kids' hair is cut short and they are inspected daily.
John, You can always take a swipe at humor.
Aaron, Thanks and keep getting faster. Your improvement has been very impressive. Racing at Alexandria with Lyme's disease and a kidney stone will make quite a story for me to tell.
Emily, Thanks for the well wishes.
Jeff, Good to see you this weekend.l |
