For the benefit of the Americans who join this thread, my appologies if this turns out to be another day of Cadel baiting. It all depends on how the Aussies are getting on in their cricket match against England today. Yes, it's one of those five day games that could end in a draw. No point explaining that concept is there.

haha just Cadel baiting? Im sure there are other ways to bait the Aussie (Kiwi) if you use your imagination!

So what happened to Basso, I wasn't even paying attention until they listed the team yesterday and he wasn't on it.

He wasnt selected for the Liquigas team but did ride the Giro...

Not sure if it was to do with the Tour organisers not wanting him or not being his race plan... (I dont remember)

Strategy is this:

1. Keep an eye onthe breakaway

2. Keep them within striking distance

3. Dont catch them too soon...
