Subject: RE: Anyone doing the Mayo Lake tri?I agree, was a fun race, but that run had to be long. I felt like I was going fast enough to break a PR and instead I ended up with one of my slowest runs this season. Tough to measure a trail run like that I think. Goods: great atmosphere, nice location, great crowd. What I'd like to see improved: Not enough post-race beverages that I saw, but I could have missed it? Walk to swim start was nasty. Coming out of the water was rough, but I don't think there was a way around that? Transition area was crowded/family in transition area. I know I'm kind of a jerk, but setting up my transition area while dodging family members was frustrating. I also had to lift my bike over a few heads to get to the bike start. Lastly, just try to leave packet pickup open a bit later. Still, for 20 bucks you can't beat it and I'd do it again next year. By the way, if you saw a guy at the bike start off to the right working on a rear wheel, that was me. |
