Expert  945    Auburn AL |  Subject: What's the COOLEST thing you've found on the road?This morning while on the bike I picked up a set of keys with a return postage card on them, so I will return them. Then as I was almost home I saw a really nice cooler which had blown out of someone's vehicle laying beside the road which I just went back and got. Got me to thinking that there has got to be some really cool stuff found with as many miles as we go up and down the roads. |

Hard to come by now with the housing problems, less guys leaving stuff on their trucks and driving away.  John. |

I recognized the back side and turned around and figured it would be destroyed, turned it over to find it was a 205 and it turned on. Charged it and now I use it. I did contact Garmin customer service with the serial number and the previous owner never registered it so I made the attempt to get back to it's proper home with no luck. |

From a post I wrote a couple of years ago: Went out on my bike this morning and saw a dead mink on the side of the road. I was only about 10 miles out when I passed him and didn't want to carry a dead mink with me on my ride but I decided to get him on the way home. One time I found a fishing rod with reel on the side of the road. I saw the truck and boat that the rod and reel fell out of at the gas station and stopped to try to give and back and they said it was definately not theirs. I am a boater and have been wanting a new pad to stand on while I drive the boat and I found one on the side of the bridge during and ride. I have found alot of sunglasses and you would be amazed at how many companies fix glasses in all kinds of conditions. I guess I run with my head down too much |

I decided since there was little traffic I would pass around it a little to the left. I was out of the saddle with my head down. I looked up when it was about 20 ft away and realized it was a coiled up (live) rattle snake. I gave it a wide berth. |
