September End of Summer Trifecta Challenge
It's September. Soon summer will be over (along with the HEAT for us out west). To keep your training motivated heading into the fall we're having an End of Summer Trifecta Challenge.
Pick three goals, of which at least two need to be triathlon events. Rank them in order of completion and see if you can hit the trifecta!
Here's how it'll work:
- Post in this thread you want in the challenge and include your three events for the month including the time, sessions, or distance. Also include the order in which you plan to reach the goals (to hit the trifecta).
- Challenge runs from September 1st to the 30th.
- For team rankings, weeks will run from Monday to Sunday. This gives us 5 'weeks' for the challenge, but the first and last are partial.
- Participants will be placed on teams with others. Team size is dependent on the number of people signed up by Tuesday the 1st. Late arrivals are welcome as this is a late announcement challenge. As usual, we'll do our best to honor chatty team requests.
- Log your results by Sunday night and I'll post team standings each Monday. Team spreadsheets will be set up in the normal Google Docs location. If you haven't used this before:

Winners and Losers:
Winning Critera:
The winning team will be the one with the highest percentage of goals completed. There is a maximum of 100% completion for this challenge. A bonus 10% will be added to your total if you also complete your trifecta.
Winning team:
The winning team can add a signature line, "My team was a winner in the September End of Summer Trifecta Challenge!"
Winners:
People who meet their goal are WINNERS! You can add a signature line, "I reached my goals for the September End of Summer Trifecta Challenge!"
Losers:
People who fail to meet their goals will need to do one of the following:
- Display an avatar that will motivate them for October.
- Display a signature line, "I should have trained more so I could meet my September End of Summer Trifecta challenge goals."
In the event of injury/illness/personal crisis, you may request to be dropped from the challenge, without penalty.
If you achieve 100% of your goal before the month is over, you may request to raise your goal.
If you have an inactive teammate who signed up for the challenge and hasn't responsed or posted their sessions you can request they be dropped.

Smack talking:
