Just curious...

I'm an iNTj. Contingency planner. I need people to make sense. Decisive. Bossy.

I'm an INFP.

Took this test during a training class with a bunch of engineers when I was working at ExxonMobil - I was the ONLY INFP in a room full of ESTJs.  Maybe that's why I couldn't stand working there

I can't find the source for this, so can't credit the author. But they're funny (if you know your type).

ESFJ: God, give me patience, and I mean right NOW.

Is It Half Empty or Half Full?

INTJ thinks: Glass is made from silicon dioxide, heated to a temperature of ...

INTP: The glass is full -- half water, half air!

ENTP: Voila! 0.157 litres of dihydrogen oxide, prepared by micro-gnomes.

ENTJ: Hey! This is a beer glass, not a water glass!

INFJ: This glass of water is a metaphor for my life.

INFP: But look! A crystalline vessel, filled with shimmering, life-giving nectar!

ENFP: Whooeee! Water fight!

ENFJ: There's more than enough for friends to share.

ISFJ thinks: I bet my friend would like to have some water right now ...

ESFJ: I can't believe someone would leave this dirty glass out here! Clean up this mess right now!

ISTJ: It's half empty now, and it wouldn't surprise me if it dried up completely.

ESTJ: Hey! Whose job was it to fill up this glass?

ISFP (Holds up glass of water, tilts it from side to side, wiggles finger in it, licks finger, grins slightly, moves on.)

ESFP: There's a glass of water! You know, it's healthy to drink a lot of water! Why, I remember when I was growing up, we used to ...

ISTP: So? It's water. Big deal!

ESTP: You call that a glass of water? Why, back where I come from, ...

I took this test years ago. It said I was ENTJ. I read a one liner once that described what an entj was like at work. It said "I don't care who the boss is. As long as they report to me." I thought that was pretty funny. However I find the one in this thread more closely describes me. I do tend to rush through what I do.

ISTP or INTJ. I usually end up as one of those two.

How's this for weird (or maybe not)? From looking at Renee's "descriptions" I picked INTJ, and then took a couple of "web-tests" and came out and INTJ Rad - that means I'm either full of carp, or I know myself well...

I don't know what type I am but, after my story, you can probably tell me.  I was asked to take the MB test one time.  I didn't know anything about it but at first sight I thought it was a boat-load.  I recognized the patterns of personality type contrasts and  that the questions just rephrased the contrasts over and over again.  I alternated my answers from one extreme to the other for each category.  The guy scoring the tests said he really wanted to meet me.  He was a psychiatrist.  I think he was scouting for new patients.

I have been tested 4 times by pros: high school, twice in college, once a few years agio by a career counselor. I am always ENFJ, with the E and the J as extreme as you can get...
so. ya love me or hate me, and either way, I will be your best friend and burst into tears at the same time....

ah, the mbti! my mom used to give this to her tutors in training when she was still teaching at the university of minnesota, duluth. i've taken the keirsey a dozen times and the full mbti at least twice. i'm an infp, but am borderline p/j (i can be really organized, but i tend to be all or nothing about it). and i am very much a healer/idealist! we don't like conflict or criticism.
Healer Idealists are abstract in thought and speech, cooperative in striving for their ends, and informative and introverted in their interpersonal relations. Healers present a seemingly tranquil, and noticeably pleasant face to the world, and though to all appearances they might seem reserved, and even shy, on the inside they are anything but reserved, having a capacity for caring not always found in other types. They care deeply — indeed, passionately — about a few special persons or a favorite cause, and their fervent aim is to bring peace and integrity to their loved ones and the world.Healers have a profound sense of idealism derived from a strong personal morality, and they conceive of the world as an ethical, honorable place. Indeed, to understand INFP's, we must understand their idealism as almost boundless and selfless, inspiring them to make extraordinary sacrifices for someone or something they believe in. The INFP is the Prince or Princess of fairy tale, the King's Champion or Defender of the Faith, like Sir Galahad or Joan of Arc. Healers are found in only 1% of the general population, although, at times, their idealism leaves them feeling even more isolated from the rest of humanity.

ENFP here.  As one website put it, we have a "silly switch" and mine seeems to be stuck in the "on" position.

Gotta go, new thought.

Did the testing by a pro a couple of years ago when they brought someone in at work. We did the testing over two lunch hour sessions. I'm ENTP.

When I took this test at a young age, I was an ENFJ.  As I've gotten older, I've moved to XNFP (X is for square in between E and I).  The prayers above seem to both fit well.  I have trouble finishing what I start and can get distracted.

You know what's weird?  We were talking about personality types with the in-laws and it turns out my MIL is an XNFP, too.  Yup, exact same type down to being halfway between introverted and extroverted.  I like to tease Hubby that he has an Oedipal complex since he picked a wife with the same personality type as his mom!

BTW, I think that there are a lot of NFs that respond to these things because we tend to be into finding out what personality type we are!
