Kinetic Sprint : Official Thread

My wife and I are doing this for the first time this year. Have heard good things about it, except for some possible cold water...

A little indecisive about this one.. im thinking i will do it though

I'm in too and hear its a great time and well supported.

This will by my first Tri of the year.  I've heard good things about it, just hope the water isn't too cold!

Anyone else in? I managed to sign up, not realizing until after the fact, that it's Mother's Day. My first mommy's day, so my 11 month old will be there to cheer me on (with the help of his very supportive daddy.) Does anyone else bring their little-ones to these?

By the way... in 2008, it was ridiculously rainy. The entire race was in a monsoon... and very chilly. I wore a sleevless wetsuit. Once I warmed up in the water, it was completely manageable. But that cold water on the face at first was a shock!

I was there in 2008, too. I was so chilled by the time it was over. 2009 was much better. I'm not doing 2010 because I'm backing off on the running for a while.

I'm in, 2nd time.  I love this race, the scenery in the park is just fantastic -- big sandy beach, great bike course.

Special props to the wife letting me do this on Mother's day, and getting the family to get up early with me to cheer me on -- now THAT's dedication.

I'm in the same boat, This is my first tri of the year and warm up for Eagleman too!  this is the first time at this race and am looking forward to it.  Sounds like a good one!  Just got my new xterra wetsuit in the mail on Friday so I'm ready to rock it in the icy waters

Gonna go ride the course tomorrow. If anybody has the day off, you're welcome to join if you want to go REALLY SLOW.

I'm doing the Sprint!  First Tri of the year.

I'm going to do a slow ride/run of the course towards the end of the week if anyone is interested in joining me.

I choose this race to be my first Tri ever. Looked like fun. I guess we will see how it goes just look for the fluffy guy in the back

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend! Looks like water temps are low 70s (Preliminary water temp is 71 degrees as of 5pm on 5/6) and air temps that are much cooler. Bundle up before the race, and let the adrenaline keep you warm.
