March 7th in Burlington?  First one for me, hoping it is warmer than the -20C start from last year!  I ran and rode parts of the course over the last week and it should be fun.  Great scenery if lakeshores and/or mansions are your thing and flat.

Anyone else registered?

Good luck with it.  My running partner did it last year and it was very cold! We haven't had that kind of weather this year so hoping for you that you have great conditions.  It's a popular race and a great way to kick off the new running year!

I tried to convince my running friends to do this one instead of Around the Bay - but ATB won.

Hi Rodney - I'll be there... I ran it two years ago and LOVED IT. That part of Lakeshore is lovely.

I'll be finishing just behind the 78-year-old walker. I put off my start of training until two weeks ago. I just steped on the scale and it went north of 200. Its gonna be brutal.

I'm also signed up for Around the Bay and Mississauga Full. After that I plan to top it all off with a horse-hair shirt and self flagellation. (I'm feeling a bit masochistic right now).Yell

Good luck at the race and I hope the weather is great!

Maybe... I was hoping to do Grimsby on the 28th but feel a bit behind in my training.
This would be my first running race too so kinda curious.  It'll likely be a last minute decision for me.

LOL Sounds like I'll be the guy right behind you.  I've looked at the hairshirt, maybe one day but not soon

I almost forgot - my family is Burlington Good Friday races.  I'm doing the 10 miler, the Mrs. is doing the 5km and and my 6 & 3 year olds will be doing the 1km run.
If you have little ones, or a loved one who is getting into running I highly recommend this event. My entire family had a blast last year - and the socks they give out are a nice change from t-shirts.
(I'm not affiliated with them in any way - It just was my favourite race of 2009)

Good luck to those racing this weekend! Weather looks amazing - if the forecast stays where it is right now!

I just ran from Brandt down to Burloak and if the weather is anything like today it is going to be a joy!
