Subject: RE: Sram S80/S80 over the S60/S80 wheel set?rxman - 2010-10-13 8:43 PM I live in the northern Texas panhandle. Lots of wind here too. I was basically set to go 80/80 til you came along. HA! New subject. What recommendations for tires and tubes? I'll probably just order online. For tubes, I'll need something that can fit with the new wheels or valve extensions? For tires, I'm looking for a good tire for everyday training as well as racing. I'm close to getting a really nice setup. Thanks again!! I know what you mean by wind. I live 20 miles west of Oklahoma City. When they say where the wind comes sweeping down the plain is no joke. I rarely get to ride in sub 15mph. It is nothing to get 25-30mph gust on a regular day. I talked at length to a very trusted bike shop here, and they recommended this particular wheel since I do not plan on changing then from races to training rides. The basically said everything you read on aero on the web, but for the majority of my riding this set up would probably best serve me day to day. |
