Comments: felt good until just after mile 6, then I started having some knee pain on right, hamstring pain on left and major developing blister on my left heel What would you do differently?: not spend weeks remodeling a house which helped contribute to knee and hamsting issues, get new shoes, these have never felt good Post race
Warm down: walk through the throngs of people (20,000 runners etc), got medal, food, spent nearly an hour trying to find my husband which prevented me from meeting up with BT'rs at the race What limited your ability to perform faster: not sure, I came pretty close to a PR for this distance and it was a PR for this race, I was hoping to come in closer to 2:30 Event comments: I really do like this race. The course did seem a bit more crowded this year with an increase of few more thousand runners. I'd like to see them decrease the size just a bit. You can not beat the crowd support for this race. This was my third year doing this race. Last updated: 2005-08-14 12:00 AM

up at 4am, outmeal and coffee, left a bit after 5 to go to ampitheater to park and get shuttle to race start, this whole process takes close to an hour, each year I say I'm going to just go to the beach and park
light jogging and stretching, event started at 7am but my corral didn't go until close to 7:30
