After the strong response in favor of expensive jeans, I stopped by Nordstrom and picked up a pair of Blue Cult jeans. They are freakin' sweet with one exception--I think they may be too short. They come just to the tops of my shoes. In the back, they come down about an inch/inch-and-a-half over the back of the shoe? The lady at Nordstrom said they are fine--and I trust her somewhat since she steered me right on the rest of the fit.

What say y'all? Too short?

Bill

You can just do what the teenagers do and pull them half-way down over your rear-end and then that should make them longer over your shoes...

Seriously, they're probably okay---if you have the right shoes. What shoes are you wearing with them?

I've always liked that look...

Black loafers. I think they may be too short for my flip flops, though.

No, if they don't hang down and completely obscure your shoes, they aren't long enough.

One of my coworkers pants are consistently at or above his ankles, then again, he has them pulled up to his arm pits. Don't be that person....

Hehehe. I just stood up to see where my pants hit my shoes Like Courtney said, if they're bothering you, then take 'em back. It's not good to develop a complex over your jeans.

Jeans are supposed to have a slight break in the front where they touch the top of the shoe. Anything more and they start to bag up on the leg andthing less and you look like you have on high waters when you walk.

Oh, they might also shrink after they're washed. If they are marginal now, they'll likely be too short after.

I like my jeans to almost hit the floor in the back. That's perfect for me.

if you have to ask, then I would say yes, they must be too short for your tastes

I just bought a pair of jeans that need to be worn with 2" heels and then they are just above the ground in back - I think I look very leggy in them.

Well, they sound like a decent length to me, but if it's bugging you, you may want to look for a longer length...

Of course this is coming from someone 5'4" who wears jeans w/a 32" inseam... Yes, boys, those stems do go all the way to the floor.

(Of course, my brother is 6'+ and also wears a 32" inseam and says I'm just a freak and I buy them too long to begin with.)

We need a picture. The good thing about shorter jeans is you can wear them every day. The longer ones need heels, and if you are like me you don't want to wear heels every day. So are these every day jeans or going out jeans?  Big difference.

No digital camera... Hopefully Santa will come through...

As a dude, I really don't spend much time in heels, so it's safe to say I don't wear heels every day. These would be every day jeans--mostly weekends.
