Sure working out is a great stress reliever but there is something cathartic about sending a few rounds downrange too. I haven't hunted in years just enjoy target practice. Sue me.

I am with you I go to the indoor range every once in a while just to get rid of my stress before I turn it onto other things.

When a guy named Speedball asks about shooters.........

( I kid)

Yep, I love to crank off a few rounds from time to time, mostly plinking, but I have toyed with the idea of taking up summer biathlon (Hey, it's multi-sport)

When I lived in Phoenix some friends and I would head to the desert every few months and blow off some rounds and smell the gun powder.    Glock....there is no substitute (only other preferences)

I was a marksmanship in the military. Let me tell you there is no better stress relief than shooting off some rounds down field.

Shot a few rounds with my 30-06 to zero it in for the hunting season, and then the deer didn't cooperate and throw themselves in front of the barrel.  I swear the deer in south Texas are like damn ninja's.  I go trail running around here and I all but collide with them, but down there I sit 3 hours in an enclosed stand a hundred yards away from a feeder and the few that I do see spook if I even shift my weight.

My in-laws live on 600 acres in Western Colorado, with a 6,000 ft. dirt runway on it (nice shooting lane) with no neighbors for miles.  My .300 win mag likes it a lot...but the prairie dogs don't so much.  Water-filled milk jugs @ 350 yds. are good fun too.  Take my .22 (6-shot and 10/22) and my .380's also.  BIG fun!!  Father in-law says he counted 22 deer passing within bow range from his front door the other day.

Coolest thing is that I only have about 7 guns in my "collection," but my wife bought me a 12-gun gun cabinet for Christmas.  Looks like I gots some shoppin' to do!  .22-250?  .357 mag.?  Muzzle loader?  20 ga?  Oh the choices.  Guess I'll just have put an addition on my cabinet.

Ya know, now that I think about it, there was somebody who put on an off-road biathlon type thing a couple years ago - mountain biking and .22 pistol shooting.  Would like to have tried that.

My husband and I trap shoot once in a while. We used to do it so much that I bought a Beretta trap gun, but it's just so darn expensive to practice as much as I would of liked to be competitive.

I used to shoot a LOT of trap.  My SKB is getting some trigger work as we speak ... doubles really stink when both barrels go off at the same time ... Wink

I shoot skeet when I visit my Dad, who used to shoot competitively at the national level. At age 79 he's still pretty darn good. Not much skeet/trap near Seattle otherwise I'd shoot more.

I've got a Hi Standard .22 Supermatic auto loader, 6-3/4" barrel, 10-round magazine, & custom left-hand grips.  Like to visit the indoor range once a month or so. Good stress reliever.

H&K USP 45. I won it in a Christmas Raffle ($5) a few years back. I used to do my own reloading and shoot lots, but I've since given it up for my new addiction hobby.

I went turkey hunting for the first time during Xmas with my brother.  We saw lots of them.  I missed of course.  I shot all around them.  But, it was weird how you'd shoot at them and they'd only walk a couple steps.  I guess they knew i couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with high-powered scope even.  My brother got 2.

Try to shoot as often as I can either at the local indoor range or my (somewhat impromptu hokie) outdoor combat range. Mostly small autos, novelty guns, some modifieds. Bought a new M-11 yesterday and yes as they were completing the paper work I asked if I could also get a case of 9mm and a ski mask. Always get some strange looks.

I believe a person can't have enough guns, and you should  always have one within arms reach,  Remember, when guns are outlawed only cops will have guns.

Had a USP 9. Great gun. Sold it for bike parts go figure. I am happy with my C-Z though.

Yes and only cops are professional enough to operate firearms.... As the cop said then proceeded to shoot himself in the leg in the infamous video.

Easily the best all around weapon ever made. I love 'em too. Do you know if any are still in use by the military?

Marine Corps still has a few... I would bet the Navy does. They stand guard duty with M14's!

I would never trade my .45 for a 9MM. The M1911 is way to reliable and effective to give up.

I actually herd the military was considering going BACK to the .45, not the M1911 but a more modern .45 like a Sig or Glock.
