Ok so my administration of this challenge is shaping up like my swimming: it ain't pretty, it's slow, but I make the cutoff. Below are the teams, participants and goals as I understand them. Please review the list and let me know of any mistakes or ommissions. If you want to be in the Challenge and aren't listed here, let me or one of the team Captains know ASAP.A link to the spreadsheet is at the bottom of the post.

FL FORCE data will be forwarded shortly. Please note, my goal is YARDS this time, not METERS. Needed to get with the YARDS program! Thanks!

Week one is in the books.

UPDATED  2006-01-10 14:43 UTC:
So far we have a tight race with the Tristars living up to their name.

UPDATED 2006-01-10 16:39 UTC:
After incorporating the latest data, the Blizzard is being downgraded to a Flurry.

 Tristars 24.38
 Pooltriots 23.92
 Canucks 21.01
 Blizzard 20.94
 Force 14.34

The Canucks might want to thaw out the pool and use it for swimming instead of curling. They might get in a few more yards.

Florida Force is bringing up the rear at 14% of goal. Must be the horribly nasty weather.

There is a long, proud tradition of the challenge organizer and administrator being a primary fount of smack.

I don't hold the rank of 'Renee' for nothing.

Any results for week two yet?

BTW, I saw the FL Force pulled one of their members out of the challenge... is that valid with the challenge rules?

Current Standings as of 2006-01-17 10:01:08:

 Tristars 47.89
 Pooltriots 53.25
 Canucks 43.07
 Blizzard 44.58
 Force

 45.26

A strong showing across the board.

As to amiine's question: Normally, once a person is entered on a team, they're in and the team has to suck up any weak showings. DRM, however, never entered a goal yardage so there's no way to calculate the effect on the team. Given the absence of a goal, I've ruled that this isn't the team dropping a contestant but a case of someone never actually joining the challenge.

OK question. If anything over 100% is thrown out, then the three members of the Pooltriots who are over 100% should be counted as 100% not the 102, 104, and 120 respectively. At these extraneous percentages, the total for your team is 53.25%, but with only 100% of goal counted, the number becomes 51.95%. Not much difference I know, but that could matter a lot come the end of the challenge when that extra percentage could add up to 100% for a team even if that team's members don't ALL reach 100%. Please advise.

Question:  We are using the same rules as in December, is that correct?  Looking at the spreadsheet, I don't see any team scores calculated.  Can you advise what your ruling is on this -- Oh Great Administrator!
