Pro 3705 Vestavia Hills | Subject: March Challenge - SMACK TALK! My Crazy Canadian Brothers: With the inclusion of Runnergirl29 into the team during the first week of the Challenge, I neglected to add her row into the formula calculation column ... resulting in a 'dangling chad' and mis-stated Week 2 Team SEC/Hawaii total. What does this mean to you? As our new total is 40.56% ... which knocks the Crazy Canucks down a notch. (Questions about the tabulation? I refer you to the 2000 Presidential Election and remind you that Florida is in the South!)
... will the Canadians rally to capture their spot in the sun again? Will "O Canada!" ring again through the halls of BT (in French and English, of course)? There! The gauntlet has been thrown down ... let the smack talk begin!

Cycling Guru 15134 Fulton, MD | Subject: RE: March Challenge - SMACK TALK! Tell you what, let's see the Crazy Cannucks do my Weds. night workout. In fact I'll throw down the gauntlet and put it out for everyone to try. THEN everyone can see why the ACC Dominators are just that ........ DOMINATING!! And it's even on a trainer so people don't have to freeze their little toes off while they're getting their butt kicked. Here it is: Warm up 15 minutes in your 39 x 16 at 100 cadence to get the blood flowing (nice and easy, but of course your resistence is set to the hardest level on your mag. trainer) - should be around 18.5 mph or so. 1 minute in the 53 x 16 at 100 cadence - works out to about 26 mph. (All intervals/rest done at 98 - 102 cadence so not noting it anymore) 1 minute rest in the 39 x 16 2 minutes in the 53/16 2 minutes rest 39/16 3 minutes 53/16 3 minutes rest 39/16 4 minutes 53/16 4 minutes rest 39/16 5 minutes 53/16 5 minutes rest 39/16 4 minutes 53/16 4 minutes rest 39/16 3 minutes 53/16 3 minutes rest 39/16 2 minutes 53/16 2 minutes rest 39/16 1 minute ballz to the wall 53/16, maintain at least 30 mph (about 110 cadence or so) 15 minute cool down in 39/16 at 100 Good for about a 25 mile workout. Feeling more adventurous?? Then after the 4 minute one start your ladder back down instead of going to the 5 and then go back up again (1,2,3,4,3,2,1,2,3,4,3,2,1). That is good for about a 30 mile workout. Do this workout some time this week and THEN people can come in here and talk all the smack they want because they will have stepped up to the ACC level! (Aside - You still need to update that ACC first week number). |

(Don't have a 53 - how about you send me yours ) Besides with the changes coming soon in your household when will you have time to ride?? - may that go smooth and well for your wife !! I'm off for two weeks when baby 3 comes along, so I'll have plenty of time to workout. The wife will breastfeed the little one, I change it, tuck him in the cradle we'll have in the room, etc. So plenty of two hour breaks in there to get my workouts in. Plus our old nanny still lives with us until she gets married in July, and we are staying in my retired aunt-in-laws house while ours is being built next door. So I don't have to do everything. More time to train than I usually get! Oh yeah muffin??? Well, I'll bet my fat azz sweats more than you! The ACC guys and gals will get their licks in, just like everyone else is trying to, regardless of their pace. But as team captain it is my duty to put the proverbial smack down on everyone else when it comes to the pace I do my mileage at. (Seriously I'm just happy to see everyone getting passionate about riding, regardless of their teams or affiliations). |

Polar bears are high in fat. Full of fat, but those are unsaturated fats, but seeing that you all come from the country that has the highest obesity rate... I wouldn't really talk about fat!!!!!! By the way, how are does deep fried twinkies that you guys have at fairs? I hear they are full of artery clogging trans fats!!! |
