Saw this on a friend's FB page.  Thought it was rather funny (and true to some point)...

Freakin' AWESOME!!!

I've heard this from my wife many times...

"Don't you remember when that happened six years ago?"
"Uh, no."
"How can you not remember it?  You said this incredibly stupid thing which made me feel so embarrassed which was such a sudden change because I was feeling so good about how I felt about weighing only (x) much and having such a great workout that day.  And I was able to wear that amazing outfit that I hadn't worn in two years.  But you were wearing that shirt that I still wish you would get rid of.  And even my sister was telling me on the phone that day that she was going to come over and go through your closet to get rid of a lot of stuff.  And I wondered why I was so in love with a guy that would say such a stupid thing like that.  But then you were so sweet afterwards and I wasn't angry with you later even though you didn't even know that I was angry because you can never tell how I'm feeling.  You don't remember that?"
"Uh, no."

Men can't compete with that!  Tongue out

Right, and then, two weeks later, she’ll hear you having a conversation with your buddy about sports, and she’ll hear you toss out some statistic about some player who played in a different city fifteen years ago.

“How can you remember Chuck Knoblauch’s batting average in 1994 but you can’t remember what I said you about what happened at work the day after I had that argument with my co-worker about that thing that happened in the employee lounge last April?”

jmk-brooklyn - 2011-12-16 3:26 PM Right, and then, two weeks later, she’ll hear you having a conversation with your buddy about sports, and she’ll hear you toss out some statistic about some player who played in a different city fifteen years ago. “How can you remember Chuck Knoblauch’s batting average in 1994 but you can’t remember what I said you about what happened at work the day after I had that argument with my co-worker about that thing that happened in the employee lounge last April?”

Who cares about '94 when he was a Twin?!  But when he was on a REAL team in Yankee pinstripes in '99 he batted .292.  Yeah - I've got a box for Yankee statistics.

Hold on, my wife is yappin' and harpin' on about something.  I have no idea about what.

Ha, that was great.  I was watching it and when he said at the very end that nothing irritates a woman more than a man doing absolutely nothing, she looked at me and said "It's true".

Years ago, during counseling, our marriage counselor told about a book called "Women Are Like Spaghetti, Men Are Like Waffles."  This is exactly the same concept.  May be time to revisit that book!

My wife is also a couples/marriage counselor and a lot of her sessions are simply educating people on understanding men's and women's behavior...

"I just know he goes on that computer and looks at porn."
"Yes, I'm sure he does.  You know why?  Because he's a man!"

"She expects me to read her mind and automatically know how she's feeling."
"No.  she wants you to ASK how she's feeling and then LISTEN to her."

"I just don't understand how he can spend his free time playing games on that Xbox!"
"Because he's a guy and he needs to turn his brain off.  Would you rather he be out drinking and cheating?"

"She always wants me to talk about my feelings!"
"You fake it at work every day with your boss.  You can't give her a mere 15 minutes a night of expressing soem feelings?"

It's amazing how many men and women just don't understand that we're wired differently and learn to accept it.

Gotta call you out a bit on this one.

Him - "Honey, you're yelling and throwing things. What's the matter?"

Her - "Nothing!"

This is shorthand for why should I bother to tell you now?  You have not paid any attention any of the last # of times I have tried to discuss it with you.

We're not asking b/c we care.  We're asking b/c you're making too much noise and it's late in the 4th quarter and the game is tied.  (Not really sure if I should 'sarc' this as I have tongue-in-cheek but there's some level of truth to it.)

My husband almost NEVER does absolutely nothing...It irritates me sometimes that he can't relax.
