I'm wondering who plans to pay full prince, INCLUDING the upcharge for 3D movies, to see films release almost a decade or more ago?

I understand that everyone just wants to make a buck, but this sort of bugs me...  Hate the game, not the player, I guess.  More power to them.

My son is 5yo.  I got him hooked on Star Wars DVDs after I realized that I was going to lose my mind watching kid movies.  Although I haven't been to a movie theater in nine years, we're going to see Phantom Menace.

I would consider seeing star wars again.  I assume the pod race could be cool in 3D.  But I can't imagine seeing Titanic again.

I waited so long for Ep. 1 and when I finally saw it (in a mall at the base of the Petronas Towers in Malaysia), I was supremely disappointed.  I don't need to pay $15 be disappointed again AND look silly while I am at it

They had a 3D preview for it before Underworld and it really did look better in 3D.

Yeah Phanton Menence was a disapointment and yes 3D sucks balls, but there really is only one place to see Star Wars and thats at a IMAX movie theater. Hopefully they will have normal non-3D showings, if so I'll go see it.

Titanic?? Why in God's Earth would anyone pay money to see that. I only saw it the first time because I thought it would get me laid...(it didn't)

I used to love to go to movies, so I understand people who get into it, but I am too old and cheap for that crap now. I won't even pay full price for a new movie, never mind the 3D upcharge.

I am much happier watching Netflix or DVDs on the plasma at home in 5.1 sound (yes, I am THAT old and cheap). There's no rude behavior other than my own, and the bourbon and Coke flows freely Cool

My kids are in that "I wanna go see this (not age-appropriate) movie because everyone at school has seen it and is talking about it" phase. I remember that feeling, and they will get over it too. Now, GET OFF MY LAWN!

I will be there as soon as I get off work for Episode 1.

I've certainly paid more $$ to see worse movies. And besides... pod racing... in 3D...

My oldest was in the prime demographic for Titanic when it came out, and saw it at least 4 times during the first run. So I can easily imagine people paying to see it now in 3D on a big screen who have only seen it on a small(ish) TV.

As for the Star Wars - the prequels were an abomination and crime against humanity. So I will only be seeing the TRUE canon of the original 3 movies. Hopefully on an IMAX 3D.

It really depends on the movie. Kids movies now if made right are kick butt 3D but most of the normal movies I pass on in 3D. The only reason I saw underworld in 3D is because the start time was better.

Titanic?? Why in God's Earth would anyone pay money to see that. I only saw it the first time because I thought it would get me laid...(it didn't)

For 3 seconds of Kate Winslet looking spectacular in 3D nudity.

This is exactly what I told my wife. There is one scene in Titanic of interest, one.

We just went to a movie re-release in 3D. Beauty and the Beast. I took my wife to see it when it was out in 1991, and we were first dating. Having just taken the kids to Disneyworld, we wanted to grab a piece of that magic back home, so all four of us went last Saturday.

Now, if they want to keep re-releasing classics in 3D, I would consider Fight Club and Goodfellas. My top two favorite films, and I never saw either one on the big screen.
