Subject: Coolest beards and moustaches

Since I managed to mangle my face in my crash last week, I have not shaved. Now I'm thinking about growing a beard and/or moustache. I've never had one. My son and I had some good yucks looking online this morning.

Post pics and links to help guide me to a decision. Oh, ZZ Top beards are awesome but probably not very practical :)

You can use this graphic as a guide for how trustworthy your beard will be. I would avoid anything beyond unsavory!

I just really wish I COULD grow a decent one. No matter what I do, my 'tash always looks like a 15 year old boy trying to look old enough to buy beer. I mean really, if I am old enough to be loosing it off the top, surely I could grow a beard in properly? So for me it is, and apparently always will be, a fantasy (much to the relief of my wife).

I cannot compete with the awesomeness of Don's upper lip, but I don't shave in the winter.  Wife hates it, but it really is warm.  When I finally shave it off in the spring, I feel very baby-faced.

He was probably thinking.... "Damn maybe I should grow a beard or moustache cause this girl seems to be all about 'em."

I agree that the World Beard and Moustache Championships website is fascinating. It's going to be another week before I heal enough to attempt shaving, so I've got time to keep searching for my new manly-man look.

The beard is coming in a lot grayer than I would like. I'm leaning towards more of an Alex Trebek kind of moustache, although the kids prefer Yosemite Sam. We saw my mom today and she voted for keeping a full beard or at least a goatee. This has turned into a family project

I think the eyes make the beard/mustache work or not.

My pops has had a big ol Burt Reynolds Mustache or a Goatee/Mustache my whole life except for 2 times where he shaved clean.  Both times without the mustache, he elicited laughter from those close to him...I was 4 the first time and I rounded up the neighbor kids to laugh at him...

Wish I could pull-off a full beard.  But my beard has white patches now whereas I have yet to get my first white hair on my head.

I have an appointment tomorrow at 10am. The place is a men's barbershop, catering to an urban clientele willing to shell out >$50 for a shave and a haircut. But they do have a bar, and you get a free beer or scotch while you get groomed. This kind of place is pretty out of character for me but I'm looking forward to it.

I can already confirm that the beard looks damn good with a cigar.

Lol we were in SB when we got the call.  Once things settled down I sure as heck wasn't going to let an eggnog latte go to waste!
