I am hoping for the 9'ers to win.

Got a bad taste in my mouth from the Seahawks. First the BS win over my Packers but mostly their gloating afterward.

Right on.

After the running game demolishing the G-men smacked down on the 49'ers, they have something to PROVE.  Not just to the league, but to themselves as well.  San Fran's defense is going to angry-good.

Laying 17.5?  I would take that bet...

Local paper says 7 and I'd take that. Seahawks have only had 1 game not within a score.

Eli had to make some pretty unbelievable throws on 3rd and long (in the first half).  It's not like NY just marched it down SF's throat and scored at will.  Ok...well, they did run it down their throat in the second half...but I don't see Seattle doing that.

Seattle is supposed to have a great defense, but gave up almost 400 yards of passing to Brady.  They came up with the plays when they needed to...but it's not like they shut them down.  And NE's defense isn't that great.

I could be totally wrong.  All I got on the line is lunch agaisnt a coworker...so don't go betting the farm on my useless analysis. 

Brady threw the ball 60 times, that's going to generate a lot of yardage.  They did shut down the Pat's running game, which is pretty good as well. The Seahawks also dropped 3+ INT's. Last time I checked, Alex Smith isn't exactly Brady. Let's also not forget the same guy who shredded the Texans for 6 TD's last week managed a mere 223 yds while getting sacked 9 times. This is an elite defense, whether people want to admit it or not.

That may be true... but it's just really hard to get excited about the Seahawks.

So I was right about SF's defense and a 49'er win.  But that counts for squat if cash were on the line.  The Forty-Niner offense wasn't even close to making my 17.5 spread prediction.  They needed at least two more touchdows to cover.  I was certainly wrong about that one.  Oh well.

For future betting, the Seahawks defense is at least as good as the 49'ers defense. They also have only had 1 game that wasn't decided by less than a TD.

If they were "at least as good" wouldn't the game have ended in a tie? The difference last night being the TD allowed by the Seahawks' inferior defense?

Only if the offenses were equal, and even the homer that I am, will admit the Seahawks offense isn't nearly as good as the SF offense.

Yeah, I think the rematch should favor the Seahawks. A game this close, can easily swing with home field, especially when you have the best home field advantage in the league.
