what color to paint workout room?

Pick a color that makes you happy and draws you into the space. I have always chosen yellows and blues since I was old enough to pick out color for a room (which was my bedroom).

Red, since everyone knows that red is faster.

And the bloodstains don't show.

A few gyms in my area have one or more of these bright green walls - I don't mind it!

This was my workout room in Florida.  I hoped that the tree made the bike feel like it was outside.

I can't take credit for painting this.  Previous owners did it and I didn't have the heart to paint over it (that would have been a LOT of work...considering they even painted the ceiling).

Ours is tan with soon-to-be-cream trim (bare wood now). Kinda boring, but soon the tv will be up on the wall, the stereo will be in, a couple motivational posters and some mirrors will get installed, and pretty much the walls will go un-noticed.

The floor is speckle-black gym floor rubber, and the spin bikes are black and fake chrome. Weights are chrome and black and so is the bench. Medicine balls, swiss balls and band set are multi-color. I'll probably paint a build-to-spec weight rack in black or red (once I build it).  Right now everything is stylishly arranged on the floor. Sorta looks like romper room for grown ups. LOL

White with gray/black/white carpet.  It is also my music room for band practices and I have a TV and nice stereo down there.  It only has one small basement window, so I did it all in white to make it brighter.  I would not paint any room yellow.  We tried it once, and less than two weeks later changed it.  Very bad choice for me.

I guess for me the color of the room doesn't matter for me to work out in.  And the colors don't/won't motivate me.
