Best cookie ... ?

It depends on the judges..

My personal opinion is that if they are female, I think something with chunks of chocolate in it might have a better chance at the blue ribbon. 

Ooh, that's a tough one and you'd have to research the judges to truly be effective.

If I were the judge, just bring in a tub of chocolate chip cookie dough and you'd get my vote.

I really like the oatmeal with butterscotch chips idea!

Then again, I really don't like chocolate, so anything to do with chocolate chips or chocolate chunks or any kind of chocolate cookie I would be surreptitiously passing on to someone else on the panel who would appreciate the choco-ness.   

oatmeal....gross.  i say chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips.  or snickerdoodle with caramel chips.

i think oatmeal is a bad choice, unless your recipe is really moist and tasty, oatmeal cookies are always kind of meh....

Ok, I'm back from the bakery with a dozen cookies.

You had me at Bacon......

2 pointers - bake the bacon really crispy, pat off excess grease and crumble up.  also, use more than you think you need.  you have a lot of sweet to over-power, don't be afraid of the salty!
