My wife got fed up with my ever-growing bike bottle collection, and how it was taking over our pantry.  I've got to admit it was getting a little out of hand.

Today, she called me excited about something she found on sale at Boscov's for only $5.99.  It's an over-the-door shoe organizer.  Problem solved, and doghouse avoided!

I like it.
Having the same problem with cupboard space. Seems like I get a new water bottle with every race.

Nice idea! Though the day I have more bottles than shoes is the day I know I have a serious, serious problem!

If you have more shoes than bottles, you're not committed enough to your sport. Tongue out

That's it ? That's all you have ?
I just started throwing them out at races.
For HIM, I don't bring the bike bottles back. It's kinda fun just throwing them off as I near home.
For oly and sprint I just use the aero bottle up front.
I went from 30-ish bottles to 8.

I take new ones at races only if I can dispose of one somehow.

That is excellent.
One question: Why are some bottles un-capped?

Because they just came out of the dishwasher, and are still a little damp inside.  Letting them dry completely before replacing the cap helps keep them from getting funky.

I'm still trying to understand why so many? I only have a few, and each one has a purpose. A lot more purposes, perhaps?

I only use a bottle one time before washing it. Sometimes it's a few days between running the dishwasher. Consider that, plus I use them for water at work, I have a tendency to forget to bring them home from work, plus 2-3 at a time for long rides, and that my wife uses them for the gym, and it's easy to see that it's rare for us to have this many in the house and clean at one time.

My wife says 2 things: 1. That is a great idea & 2. You have a smart woman. I think my wife will be heading to Boscov's. Great post. Hope your season is going well.

Mine are all just standing up in a milk crate.

Truth be told I really only use two at a time.  I use those two until they die (or are near dead and get tossed during a race) then I move on to new ones.

I probably use my bottles long past their useful life span though....

I need something like this too now. My wife just recently started harping on my water bottle "farm".

Great Idea. I'm going to print the picture for my wife to see. Now if I can help everyone get the right caps on the right bottles, I'll be set!

During the race there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange bottles, so I'm thinking about going with the aero bottle and Gatorade bottle and fill up as necessary. What should I do?

When people think of hydration in the aero position, the first name that comes to mind is the Aerodrink from Profile Design. I was expecting a pretty quick and breezy review of this water bottle.

Rocket Science Sports has applied its hyper-technical approach to designing a water bottle. The result is a water bottle with dimples similar to those on a golf ball.
