Subject: Bug in the running pace calculator

Something's off about the auto pace calculator in logs. It's shaving a couple seconds off my average for my runs. It's not a huge deal, but it's a little annoying (for instance, today's 13.1 mile run of 1:47:26 should show up as a 8:12 min/mile but is auto calculated by BT as an 8:10....).

Also my race report for this past weekend's sprint tri also miscalculates my 5k pace as a 7:32 instead of a 7:40.

What gives?

I just ran the Boston Marathon under nine minute miles, can I run eight minute miles for my half Ironman training runs? Or should I go slower?

Focus on doing the drills and improving each week. Eventually you will go out for a run, look down, and see that your pace has improved, your heart rate is lower, and your cadence is over 90 rpm.

Now is your chance! If you want to prove that you should be training at a faster pace you can prove it by racing faster.

The misconception of LSD is that it’s easy. What I have learned over the years is that LSD or "running slow" is relative to each person.

If you are like many runners you may be frustrated at racing 5K distances and never being able to run them faster. Improve your race pace with this flexible 12 week program.
