Subject: Rocketman Tri postponed until October

This was supposedly a successful race in 2013. I had just begun to train for my first tri when the Rocketman was taking place, so I missed the inaugural event. Now, I've been looking forward to racing in KSC property this spring. It looks like it will be late 2014, instead. I wouldn't blame the shut down. I would blame the organizer for not preparing the next event shortly after the first.

An event this big takes a year to coordinate, not 6 months.

I won't be surprised if thus one doesn't happen at all. The prep for last year's was a huge cluster f. Major problems with permits, finalizing routes, single file line for check in that took 2 hours to get through. Bike ride ended up being nearly 36 miles. Run was out and back through the ugliest part of Titusville.

Don't know if I'll do this one again.

I have no interest in doing any of the RD tri events.  I volunteered for one several years ago after a public plea.  When I got to the site no one had a clue what/where I needed to go, ended up on a side street in Satellite beach.  Then afterwards nothing not even a thank you.
