Master  2232    Des Moines, Iowa |  Subject: September challenge anyone ???????????Any ideas for a september challenge....my motivation is waning and a challenge always,....well..., challenges me. I've got something about running going through my head. Maybe having you're biggest running month of the year in September? ; but I'm open to anything... What do you think....? It's time for Team Kansas to make a comeback! |

Wow...200 would be cool and a stretch for me...big time. How about each member of a team setting their running mileage goal. Then having a total for the team? Just a thought.....

So this is one of those "how much of a bad azz (or just plane insane) are you" kind of challenge. There have been a few running challenges this year that I've participated in. Same with cycling. For someone marathon training for a Fall mary. then 200 is a little bit of a stretch but not impossible. For the average tri. training, 200 would be ridiculous.  |

Man...you're a machine!! Sounds like everyone is focusing on a bike/run challenge. We could total our miles for each and keep track of it weekly. Something like this?........ What's everyone think? Any other ways to make it fun?!

I need to see what my 1/2 Mary training plan says and look at the other training I will be doing for my late Sept Tri. But this could be a good thing. I ignored the 100-200 mile run challenges, since my training only had under 50 miles in it. No since in risking an over use injury at this point in the process. |

Both my goals exceed my run/bike totals for a month this year. Who else is in? The other folks who mentioned they might be are... MarmadaddyElliejknapmannOrcmattWsm9363Daremo...do you want to put in a bike number? Anybody else have any ideas to make it fun...anyone willing to contribute toward a prize? Perhaps everyone who reaches their goal can have their name put in a hat for a drawing? I would suggest we go from Sept 3 to 30(?) Sound o.k. I'm willing to do the work, since I need a LOT of motivation at this point.

Run miles - 70 The run miles will be the most I have done in a month in a VERY long time. June bike totals were higher, heck the 3rd week of June was higher by itself. But I have to get 200 miles to have a hope of making my 2K for this year. |
