Elite  2661     DC Metro, slowly working my way to NC |  Subject: I thought it was common knowledge...Being of average intelligence and education, I always figure what I know is common knowledge. I took for granted that everyone had read the same books I had to read in High School. When I was in the Navy, I found that this was not the case. Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Walt Whitman. I am not incredibly well read, but it surprised me how many people had never read Romeo and Juliet or any Shakespeare. Thats not to say it wasn't taught...but did they read it.
