Pre-race routine:

Got up at 6:00. Drank water and a bottled frappuccino. The race was only 15 minutes away which was very convenient. I found autigers 1998 and dancarpe99 at check-in and hung out with them until the start of the race

Event warmup:

A 1.8 mile walk from the parking lot to check in and then a .5 mile walk to the start.

Comments:

It was freezing (literally) at the start and it took a while for me to really warm up. There was alot of traffic for the first mile so I started out a bit slowly. The course was completely flat for miles 2-5 so I was able to cruise pretty well. About halfway through I thought I saw hblackmon ahead of me and tried to catch her. It took me a couple of miles to realize that it was not her. I was going at a pretty good pace and was able to keep it up to the finish.

What would you do differently?:

Nothing.

Walked around a little bit while waiting for Mindy and Dan.

Event comments:

My goal going in was to break and hour so I'm really happy about my race.
