I had raisin bran in 2% milk. I've been having this now for two months. Let me know what you're having, I need something different.

My usual breakfast is a bowl of fresh fruit. I started by grabbing an apple on the way out the door, then an apple and a pear. These days it's an apple, a pear, a handful of grapes, an handful of prunes, and whatever's in season. Probably get all my required servings of fruit on the way to work each day.

Almost every workday begins with Natural Ovens Hunger Filler bread topped with some variety of natural peanut butter (I said it! *gasp*). On the weekends I usually have this organic Optimum Slim cereal (can't remember the brand).

A bowl w/ 26 frosted shredded mini wheat biscuits in 2% milk. Coffee w/packet of unflavored gelatin. The same thing I've been eating for a few years now (the gelatin is new, though), except for when I care to cook eggs and turkey bacon. What can I say? -- I like my daily food intake to vary only at dinner. And I can't beat the fiber/energy in frosted shredded mini wheat cereal.

Before that, it was bran flakes for about 6-8 years.

Oh yeah, the baby-be-gone pill and Centrum.

My favorite, especially after a workout is cottage cheese with fruit or yogurt. If I'm feeling lazy (relatively lazy... remember, I aspire to be a triathlete), it's usually a slimfast bar or a bagel sandwich of some kind (usually cheese).

Cheerios!!!! Been eating them since I was a baby and just can't stop. Although now I have them with 1% milk instead of whole milk or plain.

If it's Friday, it's whole wheat waffles day. And other random days I will have blueberry or apple pancakes.

Breakfast. YUMMY!!! My favorite meal of the day, any time of the day.

2 scrambled eggs and toast every other day, Post Select cereals the other days.

I find that I have to eat a decent breakfast, otherwise I get too hungry too quickly

Um, I really need to go grocery shopping, so this morning it was dried fruit and some PB on reduced fat Triscuits. Usually it's cereal or a zuchinni muffin or a bagel with some CC.

On a normal day I have a glass of O.J. followed by a bowl of Cheerios. Two slices of toast with Marmite on them then a glass of milk.
At the weekends when I have a long run early. I'll have a powerbar with a glass of water. Then when I get home I'll have my regular breakfast

Pre morning workout is a cliff bar or granola bar

Post workout about (4 hours) in between, 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal w/tsp honey, 3 hard boiled eggs no yoke.

On the weekends I ususally have scrambled eggs no yokes w/ whole wheat toast and jam. Sometime I throw whatever good veggies I have in my eggs

Apparently I eat like crap. My goal for NEXT season is to revamp the diet. I enjoy junk food, and it's probably my undoing.

  • Monday I had a bacon egg and cheese McGriddle Sandwich for breakfast, a hash brown and a Supersized diet coke (OMG, don't make fun!)
  • Tuesday I had a hash brown and a super sized diet coke
  • Wednesday I had a PBJ sandwich (on wheat bread!) and a banana.

What's worse is for lunch yesterday I had a Wendy's chicken sandwich combo meal with fries and ANOTHER diet coke. Ugh. I'm scaring myself! Dinner was baked Orange Roughy and spinach... (Husband was cooking)

How do you all avoid the siren song of McDonalds??? I've cut down on my junk food intake, but quite definitely not enough. I'm a weak woman. I see those golden arches and my car automatically starts to veer into the parking lot.

I've also become addicted to a rather large diet coke every AM. HOW do I stop this???

Greasily yours,
LW

I can't for the life of me understand why 1) your weight, and 2) your cholesterol aren't over 300. Evidently youth (or maybe the right shade of lipstick) is at least a short-term vaccine against such indiscretions.

McDonald's makes me want to puke every time I drive by one of their four dozen locations in this community. I'd rather eat maggot-infested road kill.( Uummm, armadillo!)

I did have a co-worker who drank a two-liter Diet Coke every morning before she came to work.

I have bacon and eggs every morning... hang over from the Atkins days.

But I find it's really good and keeping the hunger pangs away, and not heavy like porrige can be.

But i do find with training at lunchtime and/or after work I need to have 'good' carbs and morning T and or lunch or else I run out of energy.

I actually had my cholesterol checked recently... I'm fine... I forget what it was, but it was right on the low end of normal.

As far as weight is concerned, I've cut down on the McD's breakfasts drastically, (from approximately 3 a week to 1-2 every 2 weeks or so...) and amped up the workouts and I've lost 11 lbs without much effort at all... I'd like to stop eating it all together... Once I get started, though, I get a taste for it, and I veer off the roadway every time. I also love candy, cookies, Swiss Cake Rolls, anything Hostess or made by Lay's. We do eat healthy dinners, though... Usually a baked chicken breast, a veggie, and rice or a potato... Maybe a baked fish instead (Salmon, tuna or mahi) or once in a great while a steak... Not too often on the red meat, though...

Any suggestions for breaking the chain?? The chain of Golden arches??? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
