From the ironman website.   It says Louisville is going to be broadcast.  I wish they would at least post a link saying it would not be available so people don' t go crazy looking for it.

The live coverage is always "spotty".  I bet they'll have it up in a bit.

Is it going to be on a 15 min delay or will they just jump in the middle?  I would figure they would have been broadcasting before everything started but I have never watch the starts before.

The coverage team is probably at IM Canada, that's where they will have it live with video.

Edit- Or maybe not as per your post above!

Seems like they usually have it together for the start.  Maybe it's due to the change in the swim course?

Is there at least somewhere you can type an bib number and get an athlete update?  How will the BTers time be updated at the top of the tread?

Sounds like Tollakson is going for the LONG swim .... he's way out in the middle of the river it says ...... they had to send a boat out to re-direct him.

But it also sounds like the current is killer and they are basically being pushed along!

Two ladies are mixing it up with the pro men, Kraft and Sharpless.

Doesn't look like the athlete tracker is up yet, but it seems like it doesn't usually go live until the athletes start to exit the swim.

According to this page, no live athlete tracking:

I'm not having any luck yet either finding any Athlete Tracking or live feed video.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will get pulled together.  Nice fast current going though!!!  I can't wait to see the swim splits come up.

Just talked to Jess who is on site.  The announcers down there have been telling everyone to track their athletes by going to Ironmanlive.com.  And like many before me have said, the link to live tracking is not up - though it is up for IMCA.  I'm hoping they'll get it fixed before long.

How about that 44 min swim by Tollakson!!!

Ok y'all try this one out....seemed to work for me....

Here's the IMCA track and athlete address:

http://www.ironmanlive.com/events/ironman/canada?show=tracker&y=2007

replace the word canada with louisville....

http://www.ironmanlive.com/events/ironman/louisville?show=tracker&y=2007

Seems to work for me...and they have updated some of the pros...haven't gotten any AG'ers to update yet.
