Now that the process is posted above, here are my goals:

Swimming: 40,000 m

Running: 50 miles (That's the most I would have ever done in a month)

Who else out-there!! Please make sure you put your swim and/or run goals in your post.

Count me in - 20km swim and 50 km run.  Have a look at my logs. I hate to run, this just might be the thing I need. ( now where did file that pic of my butt).

This is turning into a East vs West rather than a guys vs girls challange.  Where are all the girls.   (not the first time those words have come out of my mouth).

Might have to change the ruling on the assatar though.  I'm not really interested in seeing Spokes butt in a speedo.

EDIT:  just re-read Spokes post.  But I'm still not interested in seeing his butt in a speedo.

Lynne,

I was looking at your log, and if you want to get some mileage and push on both swimming and running, I would say you could shoot for 15,000 to 18,000 m? or y? for the swim, and if you would like push your running at 8miles to 10miles. try to do a few 1-3 milers and you should be doing good. Be an improvement over the last two months. Your call!! Good luck and hope you join this party. You would be the first lady!!

Those numbers look good.  It also has to do with the rest of you schedule for the month. Work, vacation, beer pong events etc.

peepscweek,

I was looking at your log, and you just loged about 10 miles of running this week and 18 for the month of july. For the runing, being your call, try to shoot somewhere between 20 to 25 miles if you really want to push, or 20 miles from this years logs would also work.

Now for swimming, 5,000 m looks good, since all your workouts are very short/small. If you want to push more, it is your call but wouldn't say more than 10,000m from this years logs. Again, I don't know what your surrounding surcomstances are, so you are better to set your goals depending on your schedule, and what is going on. Also make sure you state your name at the bottom, or at least if you are Male or Female. I can't tell from the user name.

Good luck, and be looking for your decision. Cheers!!

I'll step up for the girls.  No running for me, though.  Have a stress fracture and have to stay off of it.  I'm going about 60% of my year's total, though.  Hope that makes up for it.

Swim: 30,000 meters

Run: 0 miles

I'll jump in here for my first Challenge sign up on BT.

I am not very good at swimming (actually I kind of suck ) but I'll sign up for 12,000 meters and as I am out of running until mid-August (IT Band Syn) I'll try to get in 30 miles.

Might be a little much for me but if healthy, should be able to do it.

Should be a great motivator!

Roster just about 50/50 right now, let's keep on coming. The challenge has started, but fot the late comers, you have till this weekend to join.

Now for the ladies, do we have a Team Captain to lead you all and keep you all inline?

Please nominate someone before this Friday. Thanks. Donto is greaceously putting together a roster/spreadsheet, and will provide a copy for the lady's to use. Most of the work is already done. All you have to do, is get the roster I have listed as to the latest here, and you will have everything you also need. thanks.

The games have started as off this morning. Let's go for it Gentleman, the mileage has begun.
