Master 1381 Clifton, NJ | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" TEAM ONE thread hey team #1 - i like that number by the way and i'd like to keep it that way my goal is to the most daunting thing for me, and the thing i'll need the most kicking in the a$$ about from my fellow team members is the spin classes believe it or not, because they are intimidating to me. i could have gone to one today but talked myself out of it - i'm such a wimp, i know. i plan to post when i plan to go to the class in my blog so that everyone can check up on me about it. good luck everyone! (and happy halloween!)

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" TEAM ONE thread Hi everyone! I'll have a team spreadsheet available for you - hopefully sometime tonight. That way, you'll be able to see what everyone's goals are, and you can chart your progress during the month. If you don't remember your goals, you can see them here. (The last 10 or so people who entered aren't on there yet, but I'll update it tonight.) http://bt-challenge.tripod.com/Participants.htm Dee ---------------------------- Go Poison Apples! First team to achieve 100% of goals in the October Challenge! |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" TEAM ONE thread OK-dokey... My goals for November are: Run 42 miles (41.72 in September, 41.95 in October) Bike 120 miles (123 in September, 124.6 in October...but its getting colder and the stationary/spin bike isn't so much fun) Swim 13 sessions (3x week) (I'm working through the 0-1650 swim plan, currently on week 2) Strength 9 sessions (2x week) (Starting this up again in the offseason, more to burn some fat than anything else) ************************************************** In other news: Mary got me hooked on tickers, so my log is really all her fault. I'll try to get links to all our teammates up soon. (Shhh. I'm supposed to be working.) Also, in case you haven't met her, we have the honor of having a very young triathlete on our team (Gidgetintraining is 1for1's daughter, age 9!) Can't wait until my girls are old enough to start training with me! Very cool and happy to have her as a teammate. Kristen |

Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" TEAM ONE thread HELLOOOOOO, TEAM 1 (one, won already??)!!! My name is Phil (hi, Phil) and decided to join another challenge this month. I'm 42 (old man), married to a wife who isn't in to this stuff (but opposite's attract and we keep each other balanced), with 3 great sons - 10-1/2, 8-1/2, and 2-1/2 - that keep me constantly busy, and a puppy. Since I help coach at our local youth club, my 2 older boys will be playing basketball and I'll be their assistant coach with 3 practices a week with games on Sat. That really limited the challenges that I wanted to do. Since doing IM Moo this year, I have been abiding my time and slacked on post-training, too. I have committed to watch all the Nov. episodes of Heroes, but am adding to swim 2 times a week for a minimum of 600 yards over my lunch hour (well, actually I only get 45 minutes, and with 10 minutes to get to the pool and change, will only have about 35 or less minutes to do the swim). I'm trying to figure out a run challenge in there, too. I figured that if ell-in-or was wanting to partner up with me for this challenge, I was needing to commit a little more! Looking forward to this, peeps! LET'S HAVE A GREAT NOVEMBER! And as an early warning, DO NOT OVERDO THANKSGIVING!!! |

Go easy on that OLD stuff regarding the over 40 set, mister! Oh, and please explain why your sons keep you busy and a puppy... How can you be a puppy and be old? LOL And of course we won already. We rock! Alright - enough picking on Phil. My goals are: lose 4 pounds, run 30 miles, do 4 weight sessions in addition to my trainer sessions, and swim twice in November (haven't swam at all since July, and am still talking hubby into doing laps with me - we train together.) The hardest one will be losing the weight. I really want to speed up my running and cycling (especially hills) and to do that I need to dump the pudge. Last year I lost 50#, but this last bit has proven to be very hard to drop. Or it's all in my mind. Whatever. Hopefully this challenge will be a bit more incentive. Go Team #1!!! |

My goals inculde a nice even tan, swimming up to the swim up bar, not floating (that's too lazy!) and doing ABS / CORE workouts 3 x's a week. LOL My goals are to run 40 miles this month, and I put down 350 minutes of abs workout, but I need to revise that goal to sessions. (I'll get that to you today Kristen, promise!) BTW, my wife got me into doing this, and actually into the Challenge last month... Now, (Sticks out chest), I am a Challenge Junky!!!!!! |

Good luck all! for the purposes of this challenge - you can all be honorary "Mosc's" - short for Moscarello, which in Italian means "little fly" so it doesn't really translate well into triathlon training... we could be the number one wonders - like that tom hanks movie "that thing you do" |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" TEAM ONE thread Hello Team One! Attached is your team's spreadsheet. Your Team Captain is enders_shadow. Each week, your Team Captain will fill out the spreadsheet, marking your progress towards your GOALS. The "week" will run Saturday to Sunday. (This will allow you to cram in all those weekend sessions!) I will start a thread called "Nov Challenge Team Leaders Thread." Please post your team's results there by Monday evening each week. (Sunday is fine, if you have them ready. But I figured I'd give you the extra day, in case you need to To attach a file to a post: While writing a post, look at the bottom of the box. You'll see options to include a signature and enable emoticons. Directly below that is "Attach a file after posting." Check that box. You will then be able to attach your spreadsheet to your post. If you have questions, or need better instructions about this, feel free to ask. (Contact me via the original November Challenge thread, at the very top of the screen. I won't be checking your thread often, so if you ask me here, I may not see it.... Or, you can always PM me. That'll work, too.) And most of all..... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! I hope every one of us meets his/her goals! Dee Attachments ---------------- Team1 tracking sheet.xls (31KB - 23 downloads) |
