I changed my goal from 50 miles to 80 because I completely underestimated myself this month!  I'm pretty close to my new goal, though.... I did a half marathon this morning, and so that counts as 50% extra credit since it was a race!

I will try to do 1-2 short runs before the end of the month.

I did 8.5 miles this morning ,
Need one more session to hit my goal , my swimming and biking is coming along great did two 3000 yds sessions and a 40 miler ride last week MAke your Resolutions come true .

Great job this month and on the 1/2!!! How did the 1/2 marathon go? You really are cooking this month. I hope to begin again slowly next week and look forward to building up the mileage again.

Ran 4.5 miles this morning.  That is probably my last run of the month as during yesterday's run an old knee issue reared its ugly head   The proper way to fix it is to stop running - I will fix it an improper way and just do fewer miles.   Luckily, I am over my goal miles, so hopefully I won't feel too much angst when I don't run as much as I'd like.

Hope everyone is finishing the month strongly!

Met my goal plus some. Had my first half marathon and trail run today! Had a blast! Who knew trail running would be so much fun?! Hope we are doing another run challenge for February! Great job everyone!

buggered?!?!?!?  um.......ok............

 

125.9/175 with today and tomorrow.  although i love doing crazy shat from time to time there is no way at this point in my training that i am going to attempt pulling off 50+ miles in two days!! temp run today of 5 miles (7 total with wu & cd) and then 10 easy on wednesday will put me in the neighborhood of 145ish total miles, so short of my goal but this challenge jumpstarted my training for a big year so thank you for that!

watch out february challenge though!

I got a new pair of shoes yesterday.  I think I'll need to test them out on the tready and add to my milage for the month and help out an, already awesome team. Tongue out

It would be good to set some triathlon training goals for a Feb challenge
Like the usual suspects : swim , bike , run , yoga , weights etc and maybe pick 2 of them to focus on , set 2 goals and use them for the challenge.

Didn't reach my goal this month. Suffering through a painful and tight Iliotibial band syndrome. Working with a chiro and a physio, bought new shoes and I did my first run in 10 days this morning. Just a short 2km and felt ok. I'm going to start slowly again, working by time and hopefully won't re-injure.

Final Month Lunch Time run - it was 55 degrees out in Buffalo in January - AWESOME!!!

Thanks for the challenge this month.  I still have a double to run tonight but I doubt I will be doing 7 or more to hit my goal but these run challenges always get me motivated.  Now I just need to commit to a mary so I get motivated to do long runs!!!




Good job ! Look for a running club to get you some company for those 2+ hrs runs .
I would have never done a marathon without the support and advice from mine .

5.2 miles : Final run of the month today to hit tha goal 100%

Its not too late to get a final session or some final miles in and
Dont forget to post your final workout in the spreadsheet . It is the LAst Day of the Challenge... Unless you are in OZ in which case it's February and summer already.

Anybody up for conquering a Limiter next month .

145.95 total.  missed my goal but found my mojo so i'll take it!!!  got conned into pacing a friend on her first 50K this weekend so February will have a decent start to it!
