Sunday I went for a long bicycle ride because I wanted to. Yesterday I went for a run to burn off my frustration. That only leaves swimming for today. Otherwise it's back to drinking and one of the reasons I started all this training was to stop drinking and find a healthier outlet for my frustration/anger. Sprint_DA - 2008-05-06 4:44 PM [rant]I hate the people in our call center and purchasing department sometimes. Every time I have to find out how long it will take for us to get some product in for my customers I have to call and ask. These people then are supposed to call and talk to the purchasers (who won't take my calls or return messages either) and get back to us (sales). But what happens? 7 hours later still no call back, I call, the answer is "oh yeah I forgot to call him about that ---HE'S IN THE NEXT CUBICLE OVER!. Then 2 hours later I call again, and get "he still hasn't called me back." Then I decide to blow off work for the rest of the day because I'm too wound up to go talk to another customer and go swimming instead. [/rant] And to think I am trying to come up with an excuse not to swim today Get thee to the pool then! Yeah, but I'm meeting the girl I've been talking to for swimming tonight. So I can't go now and then again in 2 hours. She confuses me at times, times like yesterday...right before I went on my run. |

If I have TCBY, it guarantees someone will buy ice cream treats that afternoon. Sigh... speakif the troof |

Rynamite - 2008-05-06 3:55 PM Sprint_DA - 2008-05-06 4:53 PM Rynamite - 2008-05-06 3:51 PM I understand that, which is why I don't call very often, unless I have someone who wants to order a large number of unusual items. In this case about 100 tires for field-spraying wagons. That's about 20,000 of sales for me (which makes for a slightly better day), if everyone drags their feet I don't get the sale. They don't forget either, unfortunately a lot of the guys with the jobs in purchasing and inside sales are family of the owners of the company, so if it's nice they get to go golf.Sprint_DA - 2008-05-06 4:44 PM [rant]I hate the people in our call center and purchasing department sometimes. I understand the haste needed for the sale.
I'm going to play golf. That's why I don't feel bad leaving "the office" at 330 on days like today. |

How doth she confuseth you? That's the confusion for me: I hate the "I'm not ready for a relationship, but I want to hang out all the time; I don't know if I'm attracted to you, but give me a kiss goodnight; and talk to me for a few hours when I'm having a bad day, but if it's a good day you may not hear from me because I'll be out with my friends celebrating" kind of stuff. Maybe I just want things to move along a bit more quickly, or at least feel like there's a direction we're moving in. But it is what it is. |
