kromanowski - 2008-11-05 11:07 AM I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to screaming people and honking horns...but it was fun!  I am planning to do my stability ball workout this evening while I watch America's Next top Model....watching really skinny people motivates me...ok not really but trashy tv does pass the time.

That atmosphere had to be pretty cool.  Probably something not too many people will ever get to experience.  Me, I watched the coverage from my bed, gave a celebratory fist pump when the result was announced, and rolled over to sleep.

QueenZipp - 2008-11-05 11:15 AM The race organization won't let me defer til next year but will allow me to drop back to the 8K.  I'm just not sure I should go out for something that fast.  Decisions, decisions....

I may not offer the best advice (I tend to ignore my body's cries of pain and tell it to quit whining and suck it up), but if you're comfortable doing it, you might hold off on running until the middle of next week to test your body and use that test to make your decision then.

Kendra, good to see you on the team. I promise to not be moody... online 8).

So lastnight was 17 mile bike 4 mile run, felt ok.

Tonight is a long run, we see if I am fully up to snuff after that 30k trail run race about 10 days ago. Sunday I put in my 8 mile run, but had to suck it up for the last 5 miles, was just kind of not 100 percent. With the day off on Monday we see how it goes tonight. I think all the candy I have eaten over the past 3 days will leave me with enough calories to get through the workout np 8). I am sure no one else has dipped in too deep into the Halloween candy. ...?

I am hoping for a 17-18 mile run tonight if I don't hit a fatigue wall. And I am still putsing with my workout calander to try to get up to speed for that first full mary in January.

Work has been stressful, but getting 3x12 page reports printed up today gets me through all the meetings until Monday. I guess it is time to start on Wednesday reports now.

I'm going to try and call a spots med doc about these damn hip flexors.  Problem is that even if I get in to see her next week it won't be enough time to do me any good for the half

Ooh I just realized I got my five points for the week already.  Sweet!  This will probably be a bonus week for me seeing as I have a 1 hour tri class swim tomorrow night.  Everyone keep up the good work!

This song goes through my head everytime I look at our name.

Truckin' got my chips cashed in. Keep truckin', like the do-dah man
Together, more or less in line, just keep truckin' on.

Arrows of neon and flashing marquees out on Main Street.
Chicago, New York, Detroit and it's all on the same street.
Your typical city involved in a typical daydream
Hang it up and see what tomorrow brings.

Dallas, got a soft machine; Houston, too close to New Orleans;
New York's got the ways and means; but just won't let you be, oh no.

Most of the cats that you meet on the street speak of true love,
Most of the time they're sittin' and cryin' at home.
One of these days they know they gotta get goin'
Out of the door and down on the streets all alone.

Truckin', like the do-dah man. Once told me "You've got to play your hand"
Sometimes your cards ain't worth a dime, if you don't lay'em down,

Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been.

What in the world ever became of sweet Jane?
She lost her sparkle, you know she isn't the same
Livin' on reds, vitamin C, and cocaine,
All a friend can say is "Ain't it a shame?"

Truckin', up to Buffalo. Been thinkin', you got to mellow slow
Takes time, you pick a place to go, and just keep truckin' on.

Sittin' and starin' out of the hotel window.
Got a tip they're gonna kick the door in again
I'd like to get some sleep before I travel,
But if you got a warrant, I guess you're gonna come in.

Busted, down on Bourbon Street, Set up, like a bowlin' pin.
Knocked down, it get's to wearin' thin. They just won't let you be

You're sick of hangin' around and you'd like to travel;
Get tired of travelin' and you want to settle down.
I guess they can't revoke your soul for tryin',
Get out of the door and light out and look all around.

Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been.

Truckin', I'm a goin' home. Whoa whoa baby, back where I belong,
Back home, sit down and patch my bones, and get back truckin' on.

It is a little known Mila fact that she loves her some Dead and that she attended her first show when she was in San Fran at the tender age of 8.  It is also a little known fact that every once in awhile, apparently, she refers to herself in the third person.

Looks like we have a couple of Disturbed's fans here

I must admit I do like them too.

As far as work out goes, I did some core this morning then went for my second walk / run. Damn I missed running

I might take the afternoon off at work, we are suposed to have a really nice 17C this afternoon so it looks like a perfect ride day. I just hope I will be able to take it. Only problem is that I have something at 4 that I can't miss, which might ruins my plan. Maybe they will decide to send us that kind of weather for the entire winter :D

I didn't remember that song from the Dead and since I saw that you said Disturbed's name reminded you of that song I assumed :p

That being said, I like Disturbed personally

Yay got my 18 mile run in, man that takes it out of ya. Ice bath must have helped a lot as my legs are fine today. I am not actually doing cartwheels down the hall at work, but I will do a lite workout tonight. Oh well back to your regularly scheduled program...

I don't think I've ever heard of Disturbed. I'm from the "Dead" era. The things you learn about on BT.

I thought for a second there I was gaining a fan club That would have been too much pressure to deal with.

The username is actually named after the band.  I used to really like them a few years ago (still do BTW) and the 275 was the number of my college dorm room my freshman year.  It was one of those things that just popped in my head and it kinda stuck since then.

So I have to share my good news with someone and no one in my family is anwering their phones so you all get to hear about my recent blood tests...

I was diagnosed with diabetes in July and since then have been on a major diet and have upped my workouts (I had started trying to get back in shape in February, but ramped it up when I was diagnosed...see my signature for my take on the matter).  IT feels so good to see all the hard work have a very concrete effect

                          Today  (July)

Cholesterol         160      (181)

HDL                      41     (33)

Triglycerides        62      (164)

LDL                     107     (115)
