I know this is your first time doing this race but it is not a two loop course so you dont have to worry about Fred or I passing you on our second loop.

I agree he will do anything possible.  Should be nice weather hopefully, hot and humid.

Well that's encouraging at least.  I figure with 2000 people starting in front of me I'm going to spend the majority of the bike saying "on your left". 8:16 start time, yippy.

How bad is the drafting @ Eagleman?  After all of the stories I've read about IMFL, I figure with such a flat course that drafting would probably be a rampant problem.

That hurts, but I should be pretty fast on the bike with fresh shaved legs.

 

What Fred means to say is that there is plenty of drafting at Eagleman and he plans to take full advantage of it.  Race clean so that you have no chance of beating him.

So is the bet still on? I know Jorge had to drop out but we still have 4 of us - Tasr, PennState, JohnyK and I ...and dck and 3558 if they want to join as they should be right there as well.

2 bets: best overall and best bike split right? Winner of each gets a 6 pack from the others?

I'm not interested in reading the first 10 pages of this thread (and have no idea about this bet)...   I don't stand a chance on the bike split, but I'm game for overall.  And I'm definitely interested in adding best run split!

Hmmm...schlub the swim, kill the bike and drink while poor fools are out running in the heat.  Sure.  I'm in.

Dude, you should totally be workin it for a swim bet!!!

Is anyone else not getting the emails from CTA about the race?  The last one I got from them about Eagleman was at the t-minus 29 days mark but they have newer emails in the mass email archive section from today that I did not recieve.  Anyone else with the same problem?
