Alright, went for a swim...  Water was perfect!  Note to all - don't take two and half months off from the pool - its like starting over again...  This time I am going to work on bilateral breathing from the get-go...

If I go even a week or so it's like I need to refind my feel for the water. Whatchoo been doing these last few months?

Not real sure, life got busy when school started back for my 8 yr old - soccer coaching, work, mostly just being lazy I guess..

I haven't been in the pool in MONTHS and MONTHS...and I live in FL so no excuses! Maybe I'll do a shorter run and then swim this afternoon. I am trying to talk myself out the door to run, it seems to take longer and longer these days. I may just do 4 and call it a day, tho' my 'schedule' says 9. Was training for some Dec half marathon...not so sure about that now.

Anyway, I sound like a real whiner, when in actuality it is a gorgeous day, my guys are camping and I have the whole day to myself, so time to ENJOY!!!

GO COLD TURKEYs!!! (I love saying that)

I feel your pain!  I'm in the same position, except I have that bilateral breathing thing down.  Sucks being slow again.

My motivation today is IMFL.  If they can do that, I can do my short run and my trainer ride.

(but I really want to do nothing! )

Ahhhh....haven't been in the water since September.  So going to the pool on Monday should be fun.  I can mentally prepare for the suckage in advance.

Morning team. 4hr/71 mile ride in this morning. That puts me at 44% for the month. But this was the last mid length ride before the full taper for IMAZ. Short ride next weekend and then the race on the 22nd which will put me at or slightly over 100% for the goal distance a week ahead of months end. So, I'm kinda skewing the overall percentage up a bit as far as monthly pacing.

Everyone enjoy the weekend!

Got Q3 done today.  Woot, three trainer sessions in one week is major for me!  Just a short run with my kids later (they are riding their bikes).

I got a nice little bike ride done outside today!  It felt pretty darn easy!  Outdoor rides are few and far between for me right now.  I'll be running tomorrow.  Have a great evening everyone!

So I went to the shoe store today and had them look at my shoes, etc. as part of my Team in Training.  Turns out I had like the exactly wrong shoe...  I had a shoe for a pronator and I needed one for a suppinator.  No wonder I have been having knee problems.  Still going to the ortho on Tue, but hopefully the right shoes will help me get healed!

Please have the spreadsheet updated with your progress by tomorrow morning. I'll give everyone the Current Team Standings tomorrow.

Note: If you are ill/injured during the month, you have several options:

1) You may withdraw from the challenge. If this is the case, please let me know. (Or, you can tell your team captain, and they can let me know.)

2) You may revise your goal as follows:

30 days - "your missed days" = "days of participation"
Original goal x "days of participation" / 30 = Revised goal

For example: If you planned on doing 100 miles, but missed 5 days due to illness, you would recalculate your goal like this:
30 days - "5 missed days" = "25 days of participation"
100 miles x "25 days of participation" / 30 = 83 miles revised goal

3) In some cases, such as injuries, you may need to recover and can't resume your previous workout volume. If that's the case, tell your team captain (or me), and revise your goal as you see fit.

If you have questions, feel free to ask me (or your team captain).

Have you ever tried cooking a chicken - one tase at at time?  Crispy on the outside, perfectly done on the inside...

Another Jorge session done - I think I went at too high an HR for that last 10 min interval...  I was ready for it be over!  Score that 4 bike and 2 swim for the week...  I think I will take the bike outside tomorrow if the weather permits...

Also, I think our spreadsheet is calculating the percentage of the month wrong - tonight it said 10%, but I am pretty sure that the month is 23.3% gone...
