Nice work team.
Our team just keeps getting stronger and stronger.
And if somebody wants to quit! Well, don't.
We are Canadians, we do not know the meaning of quit. We pissed in our handkerchiefs and breathed through them just to live. So if this little swimming challenge seems to get you down, well think of the veterans that lost their lives just so you can be swimming right now.
2005 was/is the year of the veteran. Lets show them how much we appreciate them by winning this challenge! Lets go people!

When the going gets tough, call in the Canucks! Thats why were CRAZY!!!!

GO CRAZY CANUCKS GO!!!

Yes, I'm behind... but I'm heading into town tomorrow to swim, staying over, swimming twice the next day, staying over again to swim the next morning. Wish me luck.

Good luck and lets kick some A$$

Haven't seen the spreadsheet yet but Rene's comment was Crazy Canucks lead with 63% total score. Great job team!

4 degrees here this morning (gonna be a warm Christmas - maybe I can go for a bike ride Christmas morning!). 1550 meters swam this morning giving me 9400 meters of 13,500 meters. 70% of the way there!

Keep up the great pace Team Canada - we're in the home stretch!

Okay so we aren't in 1st place overall any longer. Given the number of swimmers on our team versus other teams I am not surprized.

Do not dispair folks - lets have a strong finish! Every persons contribution counts!

Crazy Canucks have officially fallen to 5th place in the rankings according to Renee's spreadsheet.  So Sorry to hear that  -- Guess the swimming pools in Canada Froze this week!

That being said, the Canucks, Team Utah and the Blizzard -- All in the "frozen" northland as it were are MELTING the South with Florida, Texas, Southwest  --  all warm climate spaces falling to the bottom of the pack.  Interesting isn't it.

Team Utah is in 3rd this week -- but only 2 points behind the Blizzard -- and a least 40 if not 60 percent of TEAM UTAH will be OFFICIALLY complete with their committed yardage by Christmas Day!

GO TEAM UTAH  !

Don't lose hope team: Team Canada has another 11.3km added to their total today. That's right - a double workout. This is taking a toll on my body, but it has to be done sometime before february. So 69km of 130... I'm gettin there. I'm in the water tomorrow morning for another 5-6.

TROUBLE

I have been sick for the past week and haven't hit the pool in 10 days. I am still 50% off my 25k target and I just found out today that my gym membership expired. I really need to give myself a kick in the pants and get a few good swim workouts done.

I might need a little pep talk from my fellow canucks, I don't want to let you down. I expect to go swim Thursday, if I feel better.

Damn fever hit me at the wrong time. (when is the right time?)

Steve - Don't get discouraged - you were 50 % of the way there early on in the month so can still put in some great swims before the month is over. Give it your best shot - every lap you can do helps us out!

Go to the gym twice one day. It hurts, but you tell yourself you have there's no point in arriving at the gym to swim 1000m, so you do a second quality workout.

Umm... just scored another 5000m. It's the 21st, and I've already beat last month's total. Two more workouts this week (say 11-12k?)

And I found out from my coach that we're doing 100x100m on saturday. 10k to finish off the month will really help.

Okay folks - we're gonna need 100% completion from everyone if we are likely to beat the Gamecock Wahoos. They're nearing completion and they only have 3 members on their team so it's easy for them to score 100%. Let that be inspiration to everyone to not be the one to let Team Canada down!

Gamecock Wahoos
Southernaquagoddess 15000 10650 71%
Gullahcracker 20000 17800 89%
golfinggods 25000 17200 69%

I'm not counting on pool access after tomorrow until the new year so, right on schedule, I finished this morning. If I do get some swimming in over the holidays that will be a bonus. I'm at 100% for our challenge now. Go Go Go Team Canada et al
