You are a year younger than I was when I decided to dump Marriage # 1 and made the bigger mistake of getting into Marriage # 2 eventually, and having children.

Children were a huge, huge mistake.

HUSH! Those are YOUR children. YOU may have made a mistake but please don't EVER let your kids hear you say that having them was a mistake.

So here's something interesting:

Apparently, altruism is hard-wired into the brain. Neuroscientists have discovered that when a person makes a choice to help someone else over him-/herself, it lights up a part of the brain that is usually associated with pleasure from food or sex.

Not sure if this is the cynic's dream, or just proof that morality has a scientific basis....

Zilla - 2007-05-30 10:04 AM

Is it wrong that I feel the need to discuss my bowels today?  I just have this overwhelming desire to talk about them.  (blame my judgment on lack of sleep)

This would be the place to do so correct?

Any discussion about body parts and/or functions is welcomed in TAN

Weekend was ok.  The biggest downer was that I had to cut my long run short on Sunday, due to minor GI issues.

Lemme just say how not fun it is to have to walk 3-4 miles while doing your best not to crap your pants.
