All right I am a little bit excited, just finished my last long run!!!  22 miles tonight and feel great!!  I still have a couple long bikes and another 2 hour 10 minute run but other than that it looks to be all 1-2 runs and 2-3 hour bikes.....   I'm not fast but I do feel like I am ready to have a good race......  Starting to get that chill up and down my spine now....

I just looked up sun rise and sun set times for June 26th and it listed sun rise at3:41am and sunset at 8:29pm. Does this sound right to any of the locals?

not a local but i almost wet my pants last year when I woke up in my tent and the sun looked like it was half way up in the sky and I was to meet my volunteer coordinator at 7:45 and I was 30 min away from CDA.  Turned out to be like 10 til 5 am.

That settles it, I'm using honey badger tactics during this race.

Oh my, that honey badger just about did me in this morning!  Just what I needed to cheer me up after realizing my nagging leg pain is about to turn into a full-blown injury.

Take a longer run taper than planned?  Honey badger doesn't care, he'll just take a rest and be right back at it, stupid!

I was planning on riding the course tomorrow morning, but the weather doesn't look too good.  I wonder if Sunday would be better.  Any one else riding Sat or Sun?

Just got back from my run.  I'm so stoked I knocked 3 minutes off of my best time for this route.  Yeee Haw!   I am feeling like a runner.

Love both of the youtube posts.   I think I may watch them both everyday until race day.

Yes! I have a about 8 people meeting up tomorrow at City Park (at the Bike exit) at 8am to ride the whole course. I've been planting mini-aid stations all afternoon around the course Feel free to join us, all I ask is you kick in a few bucks for the supplies and be on time so we aren't waiting for you.

Get used to it; a not often talked about side effect of IM training is that many of your personal best times will become soft. Some of my best race performances have been during or after an IM training cycle. Keep up the great running.

No kidding.  I just ticked off 12.5 easy miles at roughly the same pace I set my PR in a stand alone half mary less than 2 months ago.

I also just realized that I just ran 53 miles in the last 6 days.  Holy hell that seems amazing since a little over a year ago I was 50 pounds heavier with no interest in working out.

My run is feeling solid for sure. But today on the bike, I just wanted to take a nap. I wanted to just be done with it.  Just gotta suck it up a couple more weeks. Oh taper, I long for thee...

I want every last morsel here. Once this is over, Mrs. Slayer has more leverage to keep me busy with the honey do list.

Oh, I still need it for the training, but I will be one happy person when taper is here. Means school will be over too, and my house is in total Ironman tornado mode.
