toddg - 2009-11-07 1:06 PM Morning team. 4hr/71 mile ride in this morning. That puts me at 44% for the month. But this was the last mid length ride before the full taper for IMAZ. Short ride next weekend and then the race on the 22nd which will put me at or slightly over 100% for the goal distance a week ahead of months end. So, I'm kinda skewing the overall percentage up a bit as far as monthly pacing.

Everyone enjoy the weekend!

Nice!!!  Enjoy that taper!

Thanks Andy!  It was a little bit of a disaster.  Cole had to ride his bike for 30 minutes to earn a cub scout belt loop.  We went over safety and stuff like that and off we went.  He made it almost 20 minutes.  I didn't think that was too bad for a 6 y/o on a single speed bike riding the hills we have.  After he says, "it's harder than it looks!"  Cute kid.

Awwww....  Maybe he can get it today...  Maegan tried riding her new bike yesterday!  We upgraded from a a 16" single speed to a 24" mtn bike.  It's a little too big, but she grows fast.  She wanted a big bike with "gears and a kickstand".  Too bad she isn't strong enough to twist the gear shift up yet...  Lol - I have her curling a can of soup to strength her wrists...

So I went to the shoe store today and had them look at my shoes, etc. as part of my Team in Training.  Turns out I had like the exactly wrong shoe...  I had a shoe for a pronator and I needed one for a suppinator.  No wonder I have been having knee problems.  Still going to the ortho on Tue, but hopefully the right shoes will help me get healed!

I hate shoes.

Don't tell me you are happy to be in the kitchen too...

Nope. I hate the kitchen too. I'm an equal opportunity hater.

Have you ever tried cooking a chicken - one tase at at time?  Crispy on the outside, perfectly done on the inside...

Wait, you can cook *chicken* like that? I thought that only worked with *Challenge Participants*!!!

Also, I think our spreadsheet is calculating the percentage of the month wrong - tonight it said 10%, but I am pretty sure that the month is 23.3% gone...

I'll check it when I do the updates later today.

Heading out for a run with baby in the stroller pretty soon.  He ran with daddy yesterday.  He's quite the little running partner!

Tnx, it was a nice run.  Mountain bikers were pulling into the parking lot as I was headed home -- good timing.  I've got nothing against them, but it's a pain when the trails get busy when I'm running w/ my dog.  Only saw 5 people total on the trails

It was a beautiful day for a ride: clear blue skies, little wind, temps in the 60's. It felt like a gift

Did 30 miles on the tri bike...always fun

I just updated  my numbers...sorry team... I didnt get it done before Dee posted results.

I did a 42 mile ride in shorts and no sleeves today! Strange to be riding like this in mid Nov.in New England. I definately feel like I am cheating winterWink. I did a 3 mile run prior to the ride just so that I could stay on course for the challenge!!!
