Aikidoman - 2009-12-09 12:50 PM I'm sad for my dad....

Here is the email message from my mom about his "Up in the Air" movie roll...  (when asked about it)

"We went to the cast and crew screening of the movie, and I will say dad was disappointed.  As usual, he filmed for 12 hours and has about 15 seconds, if that.  They voice over any of his speaking parts, and you have to be ready for the wedding scene, to even catch a glimpse of him!!  Then, to top it off, the spelled his name wrong in the credits...."

I'd be most upset about the misspelling of the name... if it were me.

I'm making cookies this weekend - if you told me you wanted cookies, you will get them towards the end of next week. So far, just Bcart and that batch Meh want 'em. Kido and Jen are too good for my cookies, apparently

I like your cookies, just not on my fat a$$.

Aikidoman - 2009-12-09 12:43 PM I find it curious that Marma is sending out notices for that.  It used to be kind of a request thing.

I don't care either way.

I think it's because there is a lot of confusion about the custom rank and when you can get it.

I have NO idea what to make mine.

I have a brain cloud today.  Seriously fuzzy.  It could have been the lack of breakfast or lack of excercise.  I'm eating a bowerbar to hopefully get my head on straight.

The filter from brain to mouth is missing.

You two made me feel like I was in a grocery store when the stock boy makes the oranges go everywhere.

I love it!  The key is to make sure the dough is REALLY cold every time you press it.  Otherwise, they get too melty and stick to the press.

Your amazing depth of metaphor and simile continue to amaze me.

Yes, I know I said amaze twice in one sentence. It's that good.

x2. My mom had one when I was growing up and I got one last year for Christmas. You absolutely HAVE to chill the dough before you use it and don't put all of it in the press at once - keep the extra in the fridge until you're ready for it.
