Want to come to Oz and teach me how to run? I will settle for 5km at this stage no need for the whole marathon thing.Just got a call from our coach. He is more excited about my race than I am! I guess, I didn't really realize what a breakthrough it was. He told me his new marathon prediction and I can't even believe it. Of course, Boston is another beast. He prefers me to run Boston strong, not 'fast' which is kind of what I was thinking. I don't know that it is a marathon to showcase speed so much, with the hills (up and down.) I am supposed to run everything like recovery this week to allow for the adaptions to take place. And basically not eff anything up now. Which makes sense. 5 weeks to Boston! Uh, YES! Any time! Actually, I really would love to come back some time. I was there in ... 2004 I think? |

I taught this afternoon at the local college. Before heading out I stopped by my house for lunch. As I was on the interstate heading to the school I realized I was wearing flip flops! Completely forgot to put my real shoes back on and then didn't have time to go back home to make the switch. So I taught wearing a suit and flip flops . I think I totally rocked that look and may try it for my next court appearance If anyone says anything just tell them you injured your foot training and couldn't wear real shoes because your foot was too sore |

Master 1970 Somewhere on the Tennessee River | Subject: RE: Mental Manatee Mentors Part 3--CLOSED I must say that today has been a good day. Haven't had too many of those lately to mention. Didn't work out but that's OK. Have made it two days in a row without any bleeding from the lower intestines whilst eliminating. That's a very large victory. Spent the day teaching my classes and getting good responses. My niece has been coming to work with me and is enjoying her experience and will start classes in the summer. After a quick supper we attended the school's drama department production of A Midsummer's Night Dream by the Bard. We both enjoyed it immensely. The crew put on an excellent interpretation by setting the play in 50's style of dress and using 50's music to highlight scenes of the play. The musical motif was Blue Moon. Six different versions were used. It were a nice juxtaposition of times and themes. How many productions of A Midsummer's Night Dream boast synchronization with songs including the aforementioned theme and others like Tequila from that time period? To revisit Oberon, Titania, Hermia, and Lysander was quite pleasant. It was a toss up of whom enjoyed themselves more, the players or the audience. Did I ever mention that Robin Goodfellow and I are first cousins? No matter, as I said, it was a good day. Will get on the bike in the morning and resume tri training. Forgive me if this is TMI. |

What's TMI? Happy for you! A Midsummer Night's Dream was staged here in Bali in an outdoor hall in a garden setting, at night of course. Lots of Balinese gamelan music (which is very haunting) and singing (also haunting) interspersed, and exquisite Balinese performance dress worked into the costuming ... I would not have thought of it, but it was perfect. Your niece is some flower, and shows not a few shades of her uncle. |
