Yesterday was rest in Ironman training but we went to the pro-am shoot out or whatever the heck it's called and drank from 6 p.m. to bedtime with the 95-degree sun blazing on us. Then mexi-noms and more drinking. These pro golf guys do not mess around. COFFEE. Dang - that's not a rest day IMO! Then again, my IM rest day wasn't exactly a "rest" either unless you count an hour run in the fog restful? Oh, did I mention that I'm also training for IM distance and doing the 140.6 B2B race?
I suppose I have to wait until I actually register for it before I can say the same....
What the heck are you waiting for??? Dooooo eeeeeeet!
Heheh... money. Mentally, I've already committed to it (even if it doesn't feel real, yet). I have to register for Rev3CP Half and AG Nationals first (doing both this Friday).... then I can look to sign up for B2B. Ha! Signing up for Milwaukee on Friday too! I'm still trying to decide what other races to do before B2B... and if I'll bother with a HIM distance or not - considering I've never done one. I'll be doing AG Nat's too. Just the Sprint. I might not be able to do the swim as well as I hoped but I will definitely do the race.
Has Beth, er, I mean, your doctor, approved this endeavor? |

Rev3 CP Half! It's not a terribly far drive at all from ChiTown, and it's like 5-6 weeks before B2B - a perfect warm-up race. I'll think about it... I've heard that Rev3 puts on a great event. Maybe I'll register as soon as you do for B2B. |

I'm still trying to decide what other races to do before B2B... and if I'll bother with a HIM distance or not - considering I've never done one.
Rev3 CP Half! It's not a terribly far drive at all from ChiTown, and it's like 5-6 weeks before B2B - a perfect warm-up race. I'll think about it... I've heard that Rev3 puts on a great event. Maybe I'll register as soon as you do for B2B.
Haha, fair enough. I haven't done any of their races before, but I've heard the same thing. I was registered for the Sprint at Cedar Point last year, but it got rained out.
Looks like quite a few of us will be at AG Nats! Coolio. BT party in Milwaukee!! I may or may not be looking at the Rev3 website right now... Just wanted to make the quote longer! I'll cheer for youse triathletes virtually! I will go anywhere that is not 110 degrees everyday!!
It's never 110 degrees there. You should be there!
No, no.. we've caught up to 1996, at least. Actually, that's kinda a lie... thar be territories south of me where the hair is still full-on mid-80's kinda big. There have even been leg warmer sightings. I can't tell if it's a case of things never going away or them coming back into style... either way, it's kinda great in a somewhat scary way.

You ever have a good morning....get to work, all is well....then something happens and it just makes it a bad day....instantaneously? Oh yeah. I feel ya. I am, again, exhausted today.
Why, does she dislike quotes? These long quotes when viewing on the iPad or phone are HORRID! Cgregg .. I'm okay with 80's attire. It's my era .. I'm fond of it. I miss it!
Twas my era as well. I can't say that I miss all of the attire, but I do miss that era. |
