Good morning guys! I am having a hard time trying to catch up on 10 pages of reading. Can U point me to the post about what you guys are doing with the point system. I am sorry to have to ask. Just point me to the page and I'll do the rest! Thanks for your help After being down and out for 3 weeks with the flu, this last week has been awesome getting back to some training. I lost some fitness and this damn nagging cough is killing my run for sure but I'm slowly getting back there.
Sorry to ask ao many questions......when did this start and can I go back to add up the points? It may take me a while to get into the swing of being part of a mentor group. I am going to start checking in each AM before I start work (shhhhhhhh) LOL I am heading to the mountains for a few days rest and relaxation. It was supposed to be the beach at COzumel but the hubby's been grounded by his cardiologist because of a blood clot We both cried when we realized he couldn;t fly. So icy walkways to the outdoor hot tub and heated pool and cozy fires inside will have to do. Still struggling with my workouts after my illness. Todays trainer ride was supposed to be threshold testing day.....not happening. SO I took saturdays workout instead which was an hour 15 and thought I was gonna die at the end of an hour! Coming back to baseline is such a slooooooow process

Seren, sorry to hear about your husband and hope it is nothing serious! The challenge is for the month of February so go ahead and add 1 point for each day where you have had a swim/bike/run/cross country ski, etc workout over 30 minutes along with the total time of your workouts

Expert 1109 Guatemala | Subject: RE: Team Trisuppo - OPEN Mitch, I hope I don't hear the screams of suffering from your FTP test tomorrow all the way down here in Guatemala tomorrow :-) Last night we met with Rachel Joyce for her talk about overcoming setbacks to succeed and we had a great time. She is the nicest person and her story about how she jumped into tri and overcame several injuries is very motivational. Tomorrow a group of us are going out for a bike ride with her and she decided she will also be doing the olympic tri on Sunday which should be a lot of fun. Today 1hr on the drainer. Have a great weekend everyone! Gabe 18 29:01:55

3 | Subject: RE: Team Trisuppo - OPEN Hi, I'm not sure how this work. I am looking for help in my tri training and came across this site and this forum. sounds interesting. I ran my first tri last summer and have stuck with the training through the winter. I'm looking to do several races this summer including the Chicago international length tri in August. I don't have a plan that I am following yet - just kind of winging it - but I do swim with a tri club twice week which has helped my swimming greatly. Anyway, would love some feedback on whether this group is accepting new people and how it works. Thanks in advance for your reply. |

Expert 1109 Guatemala | Subject: RE: Team Trisuppo - OPEN Just got in from a fun, active weekend. Yesterday a 3 hr ride with Rachel Joyce and today an Olympic distance tri at the beach. Today it was really hot and humid and they did not start my wave until 10am, but was able to finally run after ITB issues, to finish in a time of 2:39. Rachel also did the tri today with us and even though she took it easy, she still blew the whole field away. She is such a nice, talented, down to earth person that she has left a great impression on all of us who got to interact with her! Gabe 20 35:42:38 |

Master 3022 | Subject: RE: Team Trisuppo - OPEN Originally posted by trigabe Mitch, I hope I don't hear the screams of suffering from your FTP test tomorrow all the way down here in Guatemala tomorrow :-) Gabe: Finished the 20' Test on Saturday. I was targeting Avg Watts of 240 and ended up at 244. My previous test in January was a complete bust as I was coming down with the Flu the morning I did it. That tested resulted in a number of 202. Another BT member (marcag) and I eyeballed a different number (232) to end up with a previous CP of 217. So - long way of saying my last CP of 217 was a guesstimate. This test along with my 5' result of avg watts of 303 (compared to January result of 277) yields a CP of 224 watts. I paced the test really well. Basically even avg power when comparing 1st 10 minutes to second 10 minutes. Don't think I could have given much more. Garmin says my estimated left/right balance was 50/50. All in all I am pretty happy with the effort and pretty happy withthe improvements I'm seeing in my cycling. This weekend I have the swim clinic with Sheila Taormina. She focuses mostly on improving and strengtheningyour pull portion of your swim stroke. I can't wait to learn how to improve my swim (besides the obvious of much more time in the water). |
