Subject: RE: Team Ride LotsHad a 30 mile adventure today. I am at 94% of goal. Should exceed it on Sunday! It was beautiful and sunny out, a perfect day for riding. Took my tri bike out. Everything was going along nicely until mile 28. I was being chased by a Chow uphill when my right shifter went "THUNK" and I couldn't shift my rear cassette. Managed to get it in the little ring and manually hold the bar end shifter in place up the big hill. Coasted down and took a turn that I thought was the fastest, flattest route toward home. After 2 miles of riding one-handed on the aerobars, I pulled over and called for help. So glad my parents live nearby ![](https://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/images/emoticons/smile.gif) My dad came and picked me up, took bike to hubby's work where he tightened a bole on the shifter. All appears to be back in working order. Ah, the joys of cycling!
