So I finish, Great experience, will probably do again some time, just as long as Im not sick like i am now, but finish just to be told they were out of finisher shirts.  R U Fing kidding me????????  I worked for over a year for this day, suffered through a chest cold so bad that i had to walk the final 3 miles because I couldnt get a deep breath, and they ran out of finisher gear.  Im sick, now I have to email them for them to mail me one.  $250 and they give me a rain check, unreal!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that! I would be mad too, but don't let that ruin the experience.  It was a great day weather wise, great atmosphere, and GREAT (I can't stress this enough) support from volunteers.  Being from Sandusky I was really proud that people came out and embraced this race!

I'm sure they will get you a shirt ASAP.

2 hour PR here, but I wouldn't know it if I hadn't timed it due to the craziness with the results and live tracking... 3 hour 13 minute swim for me apparently, don't think that would have made the cutoff.

Our program was totaling the individual legs wrong, so your total time is right and your splits are right - your sw, bk & run totals will be fixed soon!  We couldn't fix it while we were updating and risk messing up the tracking.  As soon as everyone gets back home and unpacked we'll work on that!

abrezo -I am so sorry about the finisher shirts, I know Eric and Charlie are still traveling back, if you want to PM me your info I'll send it on to the right person and as soon as they are in we will get it to you.    Hope you feel better soon!

Hey guys, sorry it has taken so long to get on the board to respond.

We truely do apologize for running out of the Half shirts  That is on us and I know leaves a bad taste for those that didnt get one.  We have a problem with planning!  Because we give out fully sublimated finisher shirts, we have to order them about 3 months in advance.  At the time, registrations were slow, so we only anticipated for about 650 athletes racing.  Registrations picked up ALOT in the last two weeks that we were open, and we couldnt react in time.  It's one of the down sides to not selling out a year in advance!!

Again, please accept our apologies and we promise to get these shirts out to you as soon as they are ready.

I am still on cloud 9. I can't believe the feeling I have after completing the 140.6. I haven't posted a race report yet as I'm still letting it sink in. I had such a great experience and kept everything within my ability. I ran a mile yesterday. I swam this AM and will ride my bike this afternoon. All easy stuff, but I am feeling absolutely amazing. I am very thankful for the people on this board for lending their expertise and experience to perfect strangers. Not saying I am perfect, but I am an Ironman and that is probably more important anyway.
