Expert 839 Central Mass | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II dgunthert - 2012-03-13 8:05 AM Tripolar - 2012-03-12 11:43 PM I do hope they bring in some of the other characters from the GN, too, like the Governor, Tyreese, and Michonne. It's easier to cover more ground in GN form -- a TV show can't be nearly so quick. Hopefully if we get a couple more seasons, we'll see some of these other characters appear. I haven't read any of the GN, but I know I saw some info about casting for the Governor, whoever that is. Seems like most people are talking about the big reveal with Shane turning, but it actually happened with the kid first. That was my WTF moment (Daryl seemed to be slowly tumbling to the order things went down). I was thinking "Wait, surely Shane killed him. How the HECK did he turn?!?!" Even that wasn't the "big reveal". 2-3 episodes ago, when fisticuffs erupted at the DPW, the two cops there had no bites either.
Now, for my big nerdy point. When Shane was dead and turning, it totally reminded me of Mass Effect (1), with the Reapers flashbacks. And I thought it was pretty awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lORT_5hUaFY&feature=watch_response_rev Edited by scorpio516 2012-03-13 11:14 AM |

Master 2277 Lake Norman, NC | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II The real question is how far will AMC take it regarding the prison, Woodbury and the Governor? Obviously there's lots that can't be shown on TV, but will they even come CLOSE to the GN storyline? That's some intense stuff there. Can't wait until the Fall!

Master 1584 Fulton, MD | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II Iowaman - 2012-03-19 9:23 AM Please explaine who Michonne is? I'm lost. Michonne was the hooded character who saved Andrea with the Katana. She's a total BAMF in the comics, and one of my favorites. The actress that got to play her looks perfect, from a press release I saw today. |

Regular 641 Chicago | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II I haven't read the GN, but does Michonne drag around armless, jawless zombies to ward off other zombies? Does the smell of zombie repel other zombies? Like how garlic repels vampires? Also, can someone explain zombie logistics to me? Do they get dehydrated? Do they get organ failure? Can they climb? And what was the prison/fortress that we saw at the end? Was that Fort Benning? And Lori is becoming more and more unlikable! |

Master 2083 Houston, TX | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II SOOOOOOO looking forward to next season. I haven't read the GN, so I'm on pins and needles.
From what I've read of others posts, Michonne looks pretty interesting. Not knowing much, it looks like good placement/teasers of Michonne and the fortress as cliffhangers tot he next season. |

And what was the prison/fortress that we saw at the end? Was that Fort Benning? And Lori is becoming more and more unlikable! Without trying to give anything story-wise or plot-wise away. But possible SPOILER ALERT!!! . . . . . . . . . . . Does Michonne drag around armless, jawless zombies to ward off other zombies? That's her former boyfriend and his best friend. Removing their arms and lower jaws prevents them from attacking. They can't bit or scratch. Also, can someone explain zombie logistics to me? Do they get dehydrated? Do they get organ failure? Can they climb? Eventually, yes. All of their organs have already failed and died. It's just brain stem being stimulated by the virus which moves their muscles and keeps some functions such as hearing, sound and some smell going. There's debate as to whether the actual eating of flesh and absorbing liquids that way does anything. Most believe it doesn't actually sustain them longer. They just have rudimentary animal urge to feed. And what was the prison/fortress that we saw at the end? Was that Fort Benning? That was a prison and it will play heavily in the next season.

Does Michonne appear in a similar time frame in the GN as she did in the show? She's a bit later in the books, but not by too much. IIRC the group is already at the prison when she shows up. The acctress the cast for her is Danai Gurira. Apparently from HBO's "Treme" |

Elite 3088 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: The Walking Dead - Season II Reposted from collegehumor.com, with some expansion. Yes please!! Fourteen Reasons Why Carl Needs to Die: Carl, stay in the house. Seriously, Carl. Stay in the house Carl, I don’t want to yell but it’s the middle of the zombie apocalypse and we’re going to need you to stay close by. Okay, buddy. Can you be a good little sheriff and stay put? I don’t know, guard the living room. Yes, okay here’s a special hat and you are officially on duty to protect the couch cushions. Just stay in the house. Carl, I’d ground you but it seems a bit trite what with the hordes of zombies outside trying to eat our faces. Remember what happened when another little kid wandered off alone? You were here for that. Maybe I should have made you shoot your little friend in the head to drive home the point. It’s great you’re keeping your childish rebellion alive but if one of the bad guys gets you, Daddy is going to have to shoot you in the head. That's going to kind of ruin my day and your mom might get a bit annoyed. Please, Carl. Just stay here. I’ll be right back. Make some lunch. Get back to doing that math homework we inexplicably cared about 4 episodes ago. I don't like it, but sure, you can learn to shoot. See? I'm including you and treating you like an adult and member of the team, but you have GOT to follow directions. Remember what happened to Dale? He died because you went wandering off and led a zombie right back here. Remember how it ate his guts while he was lying there screaming? Stay in the house. Here, you can keep the gun that you stole from Daryl, even though you completely failed at killing that walker that you came across (yeah, the one that ate Dale). Having that gun makes you a part of the farm's defense team, though, so you have stay in the house. Shane is dead. But see, if you hadn't come wandering into the barn a while back against my explicit instructions, I would have executed Randall then and there. With that done, Shane wouldn't have lured me into the woods with the intent of murdering me, forcing me to stab him in self defense. Yeah, that one's on you too, since you won't stay in the house. Carl, I’m not screwing around. Please, Carl. Just stay in the house. Do this one thing. Just stay in the house for the next 5 minutes. STAY IN THE FARKING HOUSE, CARL!!!! HAS ANYONE SEEN CARL?? HE’S NOT IN THE HOUSE. Edited by dgunthert 2012-03-22 1:32 PM |
