billsorg - 2009-12-23 6:23 AM The trash talk continues!  I put this on the Vixens and Cookies threads this morning...

Twas two days before Christmas,
And all through the Gym,
Only Evil Elves could be found,
Vixens & Cookies were nowhere around

The other teams were nestled all snug in their beds,
Their tummies were filled with wines... whites and reds.
When suddenly in the pool there arose such a clap
That was the Elves swimming hard, lap upon lap,

The Elves had piled up miles, of running and biking,
They had destroyed the competition, not to the their liking,
And the Elves were victorious, and it felt so right,
Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

That's great Bill! Looks like you've got more than enough creativity to make up for my utter and complete lack of any

Merry Christmas Eve Elves! I got a CRAPPY 5 mile tempo run in today. It wasn't a thing of beauty, but I got it done. Saturday I will be doing a pace run along the same route and I'm hoping for some redemption. Maybe I'll take it easy on the egg nog in preparation... (or not)

We've already opened presents; for tri stuff I got:

a tri clock; instead of numbers it says: swim, eat, bike, eat, run, sleep, swim...

Workouts in a Binder: Swim workouts for Triathletes

two bike jerseys, one SS, one LS

and a Garmin Forerunner 310XT!

Morning all and Merry Christmas! I hope you all got what you wanted. I got a load of swimming stuff and a tri suit, so I'm pretty happy

Got a nice ride in this morning (expect for a couple of problems with the rear deraileur which may need me to completely replace the gears or just fork out for a new bike).

Does anyone know if Chezz is still around as I'm sure his workouts haven't changed in at least a couple of weeks?

Not sure.
Might need to see if he is, or get him taken off spreadsheet, if necessary.
Chezz, you out there?
I'll PM him.

I think we are going to have to wait until he returns so we can see if he has been getting his work in.

Hello Evil Elves! I had a very good 5 mile pace run today and will be doing my first 10 miler tomorrow. That will bring me to my run goal for the month, but I plan on doing plenty of extra credit next week as well. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

Hey kids.....
I am in the middle of my second stoopid 12 hour night. Working Xmas blows. Seriously.
So. My month was CRAP. Between throwing my back out and getting sick i have not had a great December. I will work my tail off until the end of the month,,,,,,but i will most likely not reach 100% of my goals. I will get as close as humanly possible though ok?? She says plaintively..........

Way to go MD. Whereas I had to slow down to a walk for part of my run for the first time in ages this morning (but still got a run in, which is all that counts here )

Edit: Having updated my spreadsheet entries and checked the calendar, I should reach 105% on both my targets

December 27, the snow is almost completely gone, finally got my first outdoor ride for December!

Sunny, temps into the low 40's, headwind for the first 10 miles; it felt so good to be outside riding!

Road tired beats roller tired any day!

I'm 12 miles from goal and will pick that up this week for sure.

Hi Elves.  Sorry I've been MIA.  Flu was pretty brutal.  On the upside, I didn't gain any X-mas weight.  Not much appetite for anything.  I'm still not 100%.  I may try to get a workout or two in this week, but won't hit my goals.  Sorry about that, but going to take it slow.   If you need to drop me, I understand.

Well, here is the last Sunday update of the Du-December Challenge!  Hopefully everyone had a great holiday and got in their workouts!  (and not too, too much food...)  The smack talk has turned up in the last week or so, how about those results...  Drum roll please....  the standings with 4 days left to go are as follows:

89.7% Vixens Revisited
81.3% Frostbite Force
78.6% Evil Elves
70.4% Christmas Cookies

Get your workouts in and get them logged!  The sprint to the finish is here!  Team captains, please stay in touch if there are illness, injuries, etc on your teams!

Why don't we get you a sickness goal reduction? How many days were you sick and unable to train? Take that number, divide by 31, and reduce your goals by that percentage. Let me know if this is what you want to do.

Nicole, good suggestion.  I was *out* for 9 days, or 29%.  I'll keep my swim goal as is.  I'd set it light as I wasn't going to have pool access Christmas week, which was most of my down time.  I'll adjust the other and push to get it done.  Thanks!

Thanks.

Hello Evil Elves!

Did my last strength session today. That's my goals done.

We need to get it on!! Frosties have overtaken us, marginally. Vixens are talking a lot of smack!!

C'mon folks, lets DO IT.
