Subject: RE: TAN 47: El CapiTANTri14kix - 2008-09-17 2:09 PM I heard some report a time ago where smart girls acted dumb and even worked at getting bad grades because they believed boys were intimidated by smart girls. I have never compromised my grades, but I will admit to holding back on the smartness a little so boys don't think I'm a "smarty-pants". No one likes that. I don't readily offer any of this information up to guys I'm dating or trying to date. If it comes up in convo, then great. Last guy I dated, we were talking about grad school and he said something about earning "distinction" on his grad school comprehensive exam - I also earned the same on my comp exam, so I said "oh, cool, me too!" And he gave me a high-five and we revelled in our nerdiness together But usually I keep my mouth shut until they ask. The wit, however, I do not hold back much on (though I keep it clean, unlike here :-P). It's a good way to snag their interest at first Guys like a witty girl, it seems. |
